Default Bolt help

Can anyone give me a link to the bolt that goes between the stock cat-back exhaust and the stock mid-pipe? I had to hacksaw one off when I was trying to take off my mid pipe to install a race pipe. After a few days of stuggles, I think putting the stocker back in is the best option since I don't think the TXS pipe will fit. I need a new bolt. I've been to Napa, Advanced Auto, and Home Depot and they didn't have anything like I needed.

yes. How in the world does the front end of it fit over the stock donut that is on the downpipe? I could get one of the bolts to start to thread but the 2nd one on the other side wouldn't go on. I bought it used and the guy who sold it to me bought the complete downpipe with the racepipe. Could it be fitted to only fit to the TXS dp?

You should NEED the spring and bolt to make it work. You can just get a long bolt and nut and two larger washer to cover the hole enough so that the bolt doesn't pull through it and you are done.

My question is does just the TXS rp bought by itself differ from the TXS dp and rp combo that can be bought as one piece? Does the fitment of the rp that comes with the dp from TXS differ from the stand alone rp that can be bought?

Was I supposed to take the stock donut on the downpipe off?

i actually didn't use any gasket on the dp/rp connection. you should reuse the stock donut gasket coming off of the oem rp

i just bought longer bolts than it came with that were the same thread and pitch with some lock washers and it bolted right up. The key is the longer bolts and tightening it evenly on both sides so you dont warp the donut gasket on the downpipe too badly.

Where'd you get the bolts from? I'm from central VA and went to Home Depot, Napa, and Advanced Auto and they didn't have what I needed.

Look for a Lowes or try googling a tool store that will have bolts for you, trust me, they are out there and I had to buy new bolts too for my turboxs since I hate spring bolts!

They have to be machined threaded also correct? I'm looking online. Something like this? http://www.boltdepot.com/dimension.a...20&cs=77&cm=22

dont order shit online, just go to the local hardware stores and find the bolts, they dont need to be bolts used in the nasa shuttle, they just have to go through the holes, made out of good quality and long enough to bolt up.

Midlothian. My parents are pretty pissed about me doing shit to my car so I'm not going do anything for a week or so. Let things cool down a little. My dad isn't happy at all.

I went to Lowes this morning and got some 75mm long bolts. They threaded to the dp pretty easily and I finally got it installed. Thanks for the help with the bolts.
