Default Engine Build/Timing Components

Good afternoon. Just like any newb, I think my circumstance is special and needs its own thread. I am in the process of my first engine build. When I pulled everything apart, there was 130k on the clock. I had the full VVT service done at the Mazda stealership at approximately 115k.
What, if any, of the VVT components are mandatory to replace? I'm thinking maybe just a chain, or chain and tensioner. Then leave the guides and actuator that are on there alone. I have purchased a "stage 1" gasket kit from edge, and quite a few other things.

My buddy helping me along the way also told me my clutch(disc/pressure plate) looked fine, but my flywheel looked worn and possibly had hot spots. He is not an expert on this platform, by any means. He does work at a German shop, so does work on plenty of turbo 4cyl w/ GDI(VW/audi). Another person told me I should not just get a flywheel, and need to get the pressure plate and disc with it. The person that told me this sells all these items, so it would benefit him to sell more parts. The clutch was allegedly replaced with LuK parts right before I bought the car with 109k miles on it. Do I just get all three? I will probably be going with the LuK/Fidanza combo, or just the Fidanza flywheel.

Please advise, or flame as necessary. Thank you in advance.

if the timing kit just have 15k on it, just put it back. don't mess with the gears on the cams but get new friction washers and a bolt for the crank.....If you really want to do it, just change the long chain and open the VVT for inspection but you would need more washers and 1 bolt...

For the clutch, maybe the previous owner replaced just the disc and the PP....the oem fw isn't cheap....But a new disk on a worn out fw isn't the best....like new brake pads on a rusted rotor.

You could replace the FW for a Fidenza but the seller is right, it is something that work as a kit and the easiest is to get 3 parts made to work together. The other option is to have a clutch shop to check or set the height for you but they will want to sell a new disk...

There is blocs on the fw to fit the disk thickness and the PP, it must be ok but I don't have the knowledge to tell you what it should be...But if it is wrong, you will install it, it won't work and you will have to re do it again...
