Question :: new issue ::

Okay so im on my 3rd turbo for my speed6... i had the purge valve done not to long ao aswell.. so its been running great for about 2months.. figues somehting else has to break on it.. heh

well it started yesterday @ like 6pm... i attempt to take off & shift from 1->2 & it wont pop outta gear... i had to push the clutch down.. come to a full stop b4 i could get it out of 1st...

from last nite till approx 3.30pm today i was only having issues shifting in & out of 1 & 2 gear @ high revs...
it was getting stuck in gear.. u could feel it getting caught up on something & not want to come out... unless u pulled extra hard... almost like the clutch wasnt engaging fully...

This ONLY was happening on High revs.. anything sub 200-2500rpms.. no prob... shift nice.. w/ a lil feeling of a catch but not as bad as when revved...

then after bringing it to mazda & them checking the fluids & them not knowing whats going on... i hopped on the highway.. & it starting doing it in all 6 gears.. gettins stuck & not wanting to come out or go into gear...

so my guy @ mazda asked if ive ever seen anything like this on the forums... - i search found nothing... under 'hard shifts' or 'getting stuck in gear'

so here i am...

has any1 ever heard of this.. ??

once again.. it only happens when im under high revs....
sub 2500rpm's really no issue @ all...

any ideas??

Sounds like maybe your cable is binding.

There was a video of how to fine tune your shifter....there was some great info there. Maybe take a look..

sounds almost like the pressure plate is not disengaging, mine was doing that right before it went out totally, had some serous proplems getting out of gear.

ding ding ding!!!

your right.. but since it under warranty still.. mazda replaced the shift cable, the shift gate, 1st & 2nd gear, + all the syncro's & seals.... 1st....

then found i had like a 4" crack in my pressure plate... & now the are replacing the entire clutch kit + pressure plate... all under warranty...

i love mazda.. they rock...

so basically i have a completely rebuilt tranny... this is great...

Ah, you whore. That is awesome.
One of my service advisers asks me what I've seen on the forums as well. haha! I hadn't even mentioned anything to him about it before he first asked me.
