Exclamation OEM MS6 engine part numbers

I dont know about you guys, but I am tired of looking up the same damn part numbers all the time. If you see any that are missing or are wrong let me know. This is for the MS6 only, alot of these part numbers do not work on the MS3 or CX-7. Everything is correct to the best of my knowledge, but as usual... use at your own risk.

@Tomas can you see if any of the lifter buckets you ordered came with any of those new part numbers? Just trying to make sure those are good part numbers.

Thanks

No. They came with the old part number. I looked the tappets on mazdaspeed developments and they have not changed them there yet for both the MS3 and MS6. Where did you get those new part numbers?

The mazda part number file and and discount mazda parts.

I think they are skyactiv buckets that happen to fit our motor, but I dont actually know that. Its weird that they only updated every other size.

I might order the new cam bolt to see what they changed.

Here is the parts breakdown. Make a nice list out of it for him and he'll put it in the OP. Part numbers are under the prices.

BTW, I've gotten the best overall deals including shipping out of onlinemazdaparts.com in NC if anyone is purchasing stuff. If someone finds better post it up.

I cannot find anything on on the starter gasket (seals housing around where it sits on trans). I guess they dont sell it? Sucks. Mine is shot.

onlinemazdaparts shows it as 5 in attached but 5 is:
stopper MazdaSpeed6 2.3L

MSRP Core ? Online Price
$8.90 $0.00 $6.94

5 also points to another thing. So could they actually be selling the housing and the other parts and the gasget for $7? doubt that.

Wasn't it just a foam spacer? None of us reused them as they aren't really a gasket and they tore up when taking off the starter. You could also pick up some cut to size foam gasket to make your own.

Mine was so gunked up it seamed like more than foam, but looking at that pic of the new one I can tell that is all it is. Ya, I will just use some foam window sealer type stuff or something.
Did you replace any of the seals and or C clip on transfer case? Guess I need to search on this also, but what do you do to prevent it from seeping/weeping? also what is the case case made of? can it be welded? Have a bit of a hole in mine, but think if I take that part of the case off (I think it is just a cover really as everything bolts to the other half I think), clean it up and stuff it can just be welded (watch out mega size pics):

I blew up my transfer case before I got to attempt to reseal it. The factory TSB was to split the case clean the edges and reseal it with grey RTV. Grey RTV isn't a great sealer if the surfaces aren't perfectly machined and have little to no airspace. I think the cases flex more than grey could handle or aren't machined good enough. Maybe use a better sealer if you do split it like black or red. I do replace the seal in the tranny that the transfer case goes into anytime I separate the two. I've seen them leak on my car and Dustin's as well.

I sealed mine with gear oil rated black rtv. It needs to be fairly thin or you will change the gear tooth mesh and maybe get some gear noise.

For clutch I beleive luk 10-064 is the OEM kit by LUK. Can be had for $250 on ebay now. A member got it for $155 not long ago but I do not know where. Autozone sells this as their duralast clutch also but it is overpiced at like $350. Piecing it together will cost more and will not include the alingment tool. Not sure if the kit comes with new bolts.

For Transfer case:
these are the front driveshaft output seals:
LN03-27-397 Oil Seal 1 LH outer
LN02-27-238 Oil Seal 1 LH inner
LN01-27-398 Oil Seal 1 RH outer
LN03-27-514A Oil Seal 1 RH inner
and C-clip that holds the drive gear shaft to the big gear I am trying to get out...
LN01-27-394 Snap Ring 1 For drive gear shaft
That is NOT a mazdaspeed clutch, I bought it and had to return it.

The one on ebay? Or the one at Autozone? Or the LUK 10-064 in general? I looked and my clutch says LUK on it. Others have bougth the LUK 10-064 and are using it. Someone also said they bougth the autozone one and it is the luk 10-064 even thou it is listed as duralast so not sure...So are you just saying the ones being sold on ebay are wrong?

The luk rep kit 10-064 is for certain duratec and mzr engines, it is almost a inch too small to bolt to our flywheel.

FYI, I got these right off the TSB for leaky CX-7 T-case. I assumed they were the same, but seam they are not due to the differences in the cases/shafts.

I am going to use these part #s :
2700B - FRONT DIFFERENTIALS. Fits: 2006 Mazda MazdaSpeed6 | Jim Ellis Mazda

I am just geting the RH ones as those are the ones I removed to get the big gear out of the case cover:

RH inner
27238 SEAL, OIL
ILLUST. NO.3
LN0127398

RH outer (I had this wrong)
27514
SEAL, OIL - IDLE GEAR
LN0127514

Not buying this one as it is $15 and I did not remove it.
LH inner:
27238 SEAL, OIL
ILLUST. NO.2
LN0127238

im not sure what this is eaither
27622A SEAL, OIL
A61027397
$23.21

But it is not a LH outer as there is not LH outer. I think it is a seal for the TC to the trans but I do not think it is needed. I do not think it is the Trans seal to axel. I was told to get one of those, but probably not going to as mine was fine.

As you can see by the parts lists you can adjust preload on the bearings by getting different thickness of the spacers 27-355 #2. It feals like mine has too much preload on it, but I cannot measure endplay or anything so I am just going to leave it as is. The case is tapered where the LH 27-350 bearing goes into and thats why they must use diff thickness of the spaces to adjust preload on the bearings. That gear is really stiff to turn but maybe that is the way it is suposed to be.

Seal for the Tranny where the PTO goes in is A60227238. Opposite side is the Drivers axle seal A60127238.

@jmhinkle Any idea if you can replace that seal with the trans on the car and the PTO off? I have to replace mine and that would save a little work.

Easily. It pops in out and back in without an issue when the PTO is out.

BTW, I've gotten the best overall deals including shipping out of onlinemazdaparts.com in NC if anyone is purchasing stuff. If someone finds better post it up.
Discount factory (OEM) Mazda parts and accessories at Park Mazda OEM Parts was cheaper when I would get free shipping. They have it now for orders over $200. Onlinemazdaparts has shipping of only $8 and then free for over $250.

I have to place another order as I ordered the spacer rather than the inner seal cause im a ratard. Going to order the seals you listed as well.
