STEP 1: REMOVING THE BUMPER!!!! take off screw and fastener here: 4 bolts underneath infront of each tire: 1 bolt in the next to these 4 towards the middle of the car on each side: 2 fasteners in each wheel well: 1 bolt at the tip of the bumper where it connects to the fender: slip off each side as shown and lift off bumper. you will need to disconnect any harnesses before u can actually pull it all the way away from the car: some general under bumper picts:

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score FINAL PRODUCT PICTS: here was my final parts list and what i paid for each item: 2.25" pipe: $13 each piece 1 X L-pipe 18" $13 2 X 45deg bent 18" $26 3 X Straight pipe 18" $39 Silicone Hoses: 2 X 2.25" Straight $8 4 X 90deg 2.25" $60 2 X Reducer from 2.5"-2.25" $8 1 X 45Deg 2.25" $15 T-Bolt Clamps: 18 X 2.25" $36 2 X 2.5" $4 1 X 2.75 $2 1 X 2.0 $2 the core was: CXRacing INTERCOOLER FMIC 28x7x2.5 $91 shipped i did have to remove the washer fluid res but i bought another universal one from pepboys for 13. you can transplant the pump from the stock one too so its an easy swap. i plan to put it right infront of the CAI where the old airbox used to be. please entertain me with questions. im having a friend bead roll all the pipes for me and i will try and take measurements for you guys but i basically just jut to size and testetd and retested. you also have to cut the radiator support just a little (seen in pict) which was no big deal. i made my own BOV flange from scratch so that wasent a problem for me but u can always get a universal pipe with a flange already on it from ebay. i also used heat reflective wrap on the hot pipe that stretches across the engine. that can be found here.. http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productde...s.asp?RecID=395 total all said and done it cost me around 350 including shipping. i did however do all the work myself and i had access to a machine shop.

| Not Ranked : 0 score $350 is a pretty good price for putting all of that together. The heat wrap is the only part I don't really like the looks of but I understand why. You can always have it sent out to get it coated by jet hot or something similar. I would have done the top pipe across the valve cover as one piece, even if it did raise the cost. you're going to dyno it right? hurry hurry hurry! |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score FINALLY DONE!!!!!!!!! wow i am crazy tired. this turned out to be alot more work then i had thought. after i mounted the core i found out that my pipe angles that were leading to the core were a little off and i had to modify some of the pipes. i diddent have to buy any extra piping but i changed my design a little which u can see in the picts. i also had to cut the bumper a little right behind the foglight housings (which you cant see because they are being covered by the fog light covers. i also had to bend the horn bracket to get that to fit with the piping as well. in the end though everything worked out really well and im glad i did it. driving impressions: i only drove home from school so i havent really had a chance to get on it but it was holding boost fine so i have no leaks. i also realized that i was heat soaking a little because the "cold" pipe is getting too hot so i am going to wrap the extra heat reflective tape i have onto it and see what happens. i noticed no added lag at all with the system and so far i am very happy.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I'm doing the same thing right now on my 6 but using 2.5" piping. Had to cut the back of my headlight assembly and part of the bumper support but it will look real close. Weird how your coldpipe was heatsoaking though...
