Timing Chain Replacement

Well i was a victim of a loose timing chain at 90k miles. I followed the Amazing write up by Rokusek. Very well done write up. Ordered the kit from EdgeAutoSport and had all the necessary parts and the cam alignment tool from StreetUnit. Started sat morning and it started off great. Everything went without a problem until. Except the dreaded crankshaft pulley bolt. OMG. It was a nightmare. I have a 600 LB impact gun and it wouldn't budge. Did all the tricks as Rokusek stated (hot engine, M6X1 bolt, 6th gear, etc. Well my problem after that was even with a breaker bar the crankshaft would move cause it straight broke out the M6x1 bolt and bolt housing as shown in the picture. We tried everything from using the starter, to tying chains to the frame, etc. Only option was to get a more powerful impact gun. Had to get a 780 lb impact gun and it game off with a little work at it. After that 3 hour delay it all went pretty smooth putting it back together. I had to take off the EGR to get the CAP to sit straight which i believe wasn't stated in his write up. Got it all put back together late sunday after noon and runs great. Also painted my Valve cover, was going to paint the TC cover but ran out of time. Anyways just wanted to rant and share my experiences. Its been a long time since i've done anything to my car. Wish it was a performance mod but oh well. Thanks again for the awesome write up. Cant wait for my next mods and to dress up the engine bay some more.
