Default Weird Electronic sound from Engine bay

So I was hearing this weird electronic noise every 30 seconds after I turned my car off. Even pulled the battery and could still hear it. Any thoughts?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krO0...ature=youtu.be

I've heard tales of vehicles being controlled by computers before but i think this new evidence suggests that it might not be pure legend.

OP... your car is a transformer. run for your life.

you have an AP... when flashing maps you've yet to hear the same exact sound over and over while it's flashing?

Its strange it doesnt sound like any other noise I hear. I was thinking maybe a bad relay or fuse pushing power to the alarm or horn, but it doesnt sound like that

Ah, after actually listening to your video i assume you are talking about the weird beeping noise... yeah no idea.

I thought you were referring to the sound the car makes when flashing a map or sometimes just sitting that sounds almost like a hard drive being written to or a CD being read.

Do you have both terminals off the battery or just the negative?

to add, I've also had an issue last few months where all my electronics in my vehicle would shut off after I accelerated from a stop, lights, stereo, dash and then 1 second later come back on. This would happen for 2 days until my car would be completely dead. I would wait 5 minutes and everything would come on would be reset like I pulled the battery. Its a new battery, I checked all the grounds and the alternator. This happened twice in the past two months. Once the car was back on it would act as normal again.

No joke, I thought I was nuts but my 6 does this too. After a drive home from work, I park in the garage, then while chatting with roommate etc it starts making this very similar noise. He thought I was nuts until it interrupted him talking. Now he agrees it's real. For several, even dozens of minutes after the car has been off, it still puts out an occasional beep or whistle sound.

I have not been able to find a location other than somewhere near the intake/hpfp/battery as best I can tell. Up close it sounds like a whistle and not an electronic noise. I had wondered if it was the squeak sound of pressure bleeding off either internal to the fuel pump or something in the PCV system.

Do you have upgraded internals or a restricted Banjo Bolt (i've got both)? Could be some some sort of pressure bleeding. If its electrical must be a charge Relay or something still holding power.

Pull off your intake hose between your throttle body and intercooler. Then turn your ignition to the run position for a little bit then back off. You don't have to start it up. After you shut off your vehicle about 10-20 seconds the throttle plate moves through a sequence. Mine sounds difference but you can hear it. Maybe it is some sort of squeak coming off of that. With the intake hose off you will be able to watch it and see if that is what it is. I noticed this when doing a compression tests.

My 2012 Speed3 has done this several times before. I believe it's happened since new. Sounds like someone swinging.

I'm familiar with that one, and that only lasts for a short bit.

This squeak will repeat occasionally for up to 20-30 mins.

I'll try that this weekend.

Yeah, it did last for about 15 minutes the last time I noticed it. Strangely the duration kept to about every 30 seconds, it did not elongate over time which leads me to believe its electrical. Wouldnt the pauses increase over time if it where in fact pressure bleed?
