Will Gen1 Speed6 Intake Manifold fit on my Gen1 Speed3?

Hey guys, I tried searching but the terms were rather general and I did not come up with much that could be of help. I have a 2008 MazdaSpeed3 and I need an Intake Manifold core for a PNP project and since my Speed3 is my daily I cant have any down time. I don't have any experience with the Speed6s and a local guy has a bunch of them at a yard and is willing to part with a manifold. I've found a few Speed3 Manifolds but they're more expensive, and require shipping on top of that, so if I can save a few bucks for other things that'd be great, but I won't skimp on something that won't easily be swapped out.

Pretty simple question: Will a Gen1 Speed6 Intake Manifold fit on a Gen1 Speed3? If any modifications are needed, what may they be?

I doubt someone has a bunch of speed 6 s in a yard. Make sure you don't get an intake manifold off a regular four cylinder Mazda 6

I guess the term, "bunch', is usually relative when used. Suppose "bunch" is equivalent to "three". Would that be so hard to believe despite the low production numbers of said vehicle?

Ultimately though ... your advice is absolutely useful -- especially to someone who has shit for brains and has somehow misplaced a clue.

Heck it's pretty rare to see more than one Speed6 even at a NATOR meet, much less several of them in a bone yard available to be picked over...

Hey all. First I would like to thank @TiGraySpeed6 for the quick result. To the others, I thank you for your concern but this would be purchased from an acquaintance of mine. He works at a local yard... yes yard, who specializes in imports: Hondas, Speeds, 350z, G35, etc. He had 6 in the lot, but now has 4. He is awaiting the word on if his partner wishes to sell the engines as a whole or if he is going to part them. *taps foot*





I know its not common, but its possible!
