just got it today and put it on. only drove a few miles but i like it. made the tone of the bpv(greddy) change a little and it seems like boost is 1psi higher, maybe i am wrong. it holds too much though(lol) and i gotta loosen the bpv. i was still at 17~18psi when i shifted at 5500rpm. but overall no surge on my valve and it felt like it was smoother. even at from a stop throttle response felt better. but i only have like 6 miles on it. install wasnt bad, like everyone said push the bpv hose on before it goes in cause man those sleeves make for a tight fit. i had a problem getting the back vac line on, but once it was in the car, i whipped out the lube and got it on all the way. no broken parts and fitment is great. if you angle the clamp on the turbo right you can reach it with a extension on a ratchet, which is nice for tightening and untightening. i like it very good mod for the money, but dont expect to have a kick in the butt dyno like a intake. but i dont feel robbed and hell the bay looks 100 times better now

i noticed a solid difference when I put my corksport one on a year ago. Definitally louder spool and better power up top.

Just because you arent gaining much peak power doesnt mean you arent making say 7hp more across your powerband. Something like that wont be felt but if you do a few things to net those little gains, you end up with one, nice gain.

Ok, put this on last night. Some notes:

- Not as "easy" as I read it would be. It wasn't really difficult, just lots of steps and wrestling of pieces in a cramped environment, which made the process quite time-consuming. It took me and a buddy who's very good with cars a little over an hour, and we were in a hurry to get somewhere afterwards.
- Noticeable improvement in spool-up/throttle response, power, turbo acoustics (louder), and the powertrain just seems smoother/quieter for some reason, especially when engine braking. Based on how it sounded when I dropped it in the driveway, I'm betting the stock TIP was acting as a sounding board.
- Lack of hard connection mounting from new turbo inlet allows my CAI to move around a lot more than it did before. When pushing on the CAI piping under the hood, it does not take much to bang the metal CAI splash guard around underneath, though this may not be happening under normal driving conditions. I may be adding a zip-tie or something to this setup at some point to alleviate this concern.
- Not 100% happy with how the TIP arrived. I like how the lips of the metal pieces were chamfered to help ensure smooth airflow, but there were flecks of metal from this work left throughout the piece, obviously not a good thing to have enter your engine. As I was trying to remove these pieces, I noticed there is a good amount of residue I could rub off from the interiors of these pieces. If I had to guess this residue was dust created when the pieces were cut. In a nutshell, the product needs a good cleaning and to be wrapped in plastic prior to shipping (mine was loose in the box). Otherwise, a quality piece.
- Installation tip: Consider connecting a battery minder/charger to your battery leads before removing your battery if you'd like to save your radio functions and such. Your ECU will still get reset automatically since you are removing it from the car.

All in all, it is a good upgrade for the price and work involved. I would do it all over again, but I would just like to see a bit more of the attention to detail Cobb is otherwise generally known for... especially for a $165 piece of silicone!

Can you elaborate on that shit? I hate resettting my Pioneer headunit every time I need to remove the battery!

If you don't have one, head to your auto parts store and pick up a battery charger or jump starter, like this one and connect it to your battery leads before removing them from your battery. This will keep enough juice in the wires to maintain things like radio presets.

i installed my cobb tip last friday and my exhaust pops between shifts. i thought it was due to ecu relearning fuel trims and runs rich but i have driven it for about 300 miles since the ecu reset. bpv recirc hose clamped on tight. any ideas?
