Then again the top mount was tested at 18 psi and right now im only seeing 15.

Another cool thing about this set up is the air intake temps, im only about 4-5 degree above amb once i get rolling
I did a datalog of my ambient air temp and boost air temp to see my numbers 1st through 4th at 17 psi.
I'm thinking the CAI makes the difference with my setup vs. the CS pan filter that sits on the engine. Boost temp never gets to 100.

The dh obviously doesnt record boost temps correctly. My cars been off for 8 hours, if i go and turn the key my boost temps will be at 140.

My 205 vs high 150s low 160s was done ont he same car so obviously i lost 40 degree by going to a fmic.

As for youre cai making a difference, its not. Like i said, the air going into the turbo is roughly 4-7 degrees higher than ambiant

well, go and download the lates version of the DH software 2.4preprod2 or something like that, do the same run and show your temps. If it's not the cai the why does your IC only cool to 160? If you don't trust the numbers, don't report them...

im running production 1.
I dont trust the number for shit becuase like i said, with my car parked over night, the second i turn the key the boost temps are over 140. This is simply a comparrison btwn what i saw iwth the ets and what i see now. 1-5th the boost temps were at 205 in 5th, now they are at low 160s.

uploading movie for you as we speak....

Looks like you've got a bad sensor or something. The DH just reads what the ECU says. If it's 47 deg F and your MAP IAT is saying the temp is 143 when the car is cold, that tells me you've got something wrong.

bit of an update. took everything apart and checked all the connections. i had a stripped clamp which was where i had a leak so i had to cut that clamp off and replace it. then i had to realign a bunch of the pipes and what not. started it up and it seems to be ok. idle still bounces a bit but i might need to re learn again since i disconnected the battery. i can now get on boost without hearing the squeal thank god. although i don't want to push it to much because i have some worm clamps that will need replaced once my new t-bolt clamps come. i assume as soon as my car learns about its new found goods it will drive normal, because i do get somewhat of a studder and the idle does bounce every once and a while, anywhere from 700-1000 now that i sealed up all the leaks, before it was 600-700.

Kelly from CS has responded to my email, so we should have some people from their R&D dept replying to the thread.

Hello All,

We have made a revision on the FMIC kit which has shown to take care of the lean at idle/lean off idle code a few Mazdaspeed 3s have seen that have our FMIC installed.

The CEL has only come up on a few Mazdaspeed 3s that have our FMIC kit and no Mazdaspeed 6 models.

We will be getting the revised part to the few Mazdaspeed 3s that have had the CEL come up out this week.

If anyone has any questions or concerns feel free to give us a call at 360 260 2675 or shoot me an email.

Thanks
Derrick

BIG UPDATED;

Kelly from corksport just called me. They have a solution for the problem and are shipping me out a new maf housing tomorrow. This will be a prototype fix, the actual fix will be ready in 3 months. I am going to test it out and data log fuel trims and a/f ratios to make sure everythign is where it should be. I must say I am every surprised with the customer service and i hope their new piece fixes the past mistake with the incoreect size maf housing. I will report back with more infor once the piece gets here.

i wonder if that would help my speed6. i just spoke with derrick and he was going to talk to a tech, but since i no other speed6's have the problem not sure what kind of luck i'll have. i did a simple log today on the highway 4th-6th just cruising not hard on throttle. its only been about 10miles or so since i reset the battery so that might be why its still all over the place.

my only other thought is that 2.5" coupler which i have in temporarily but i might be dwelling on it.

Sorry, DOUBLE MOTHER FUCKING STANDARD dude. You talk shit about cp-e all the time. CS sends out an FMIC with an incorrect MAF housing and you're like, "oooh, great customer service?!?!" WTF? I specifically remember you giving a guy shit b/c he was happy with cp-e customer support for a problem with their DP. BIAS anyone? Laloosh has plenty.

Well in his defense, i had contacted CS about this. Infact, that is the way i will run this site... I figure, if were going to bitch about it, might as well get them involved.

If CPE wants to come over, they are more than welcome. The point i want to make is, i WANT these company's involved with the real people, who use their parts.

Ive sent CPE an email awhile back, but i havent received any response from them. Perhaps they are more involved over at the other forums.

Incorrect MAF housing. Umm, that's kind of important as it's the way the car knows how much fuel to inject last I checked...

corksport didnt flat out lie to my like cpe did. Btw just did a pull with the newest version of the dh. Heatsoaked idling to all hell. Guess what at 16 psi in 5th the highest i saw was 78 degrees......kinda blows yours out of the water by about 20 degrees. Funny if you ask me.

I dunno...do you think CPE would really feel welcome about coming here?

Their history with several users that are not only here...but are admins/moderators here.

They've been beat to hell by some of the people here, for doing (in my eyes at least) exactly what ptperformance has done in the "PTP Claims interesting things" thread. Discuss new and exciting things about the MS3 that they've found.

In the past when they've done that...they've just been flamed to hell for it :-\

this isnt about cpe, this is about mazda board not allowing members to speak out. I had a problem with the cs fmic and bashed it to hell. Would you like to see the email i wrote them? Every1 knew about it ont he boards and guess what 1 week later corksport fixed the issue. If cpe comes on here and gets prooven wrong, they better fix their issue instead of banning people for down talking their prodcuts. Cpe to this day still denies my fuel issues and blames it on a faulty stock fuel sysytem....LOL at that

BTW for the record

Dadaracecar jumped at the oppertunity to say how much more efficient his cpe ic was then then my cs ic, little did he know i was using old software and mine ended up to be more efficient at cooling. L M A O That backfired

Well if you are in this business, you need to be prepared for criticism. I dont know of one perfect product. Ive seen company's who were so-so with kicking out products, go from being flamed, to producing much better products and getting praised. CPE could do this if they want. Here, there is no protection hiding under the vendor badge.

I think it would be a good opportunity for them to start clean and come over. Ball's in their court at this time.

The only admin here is me... I havent done much to CPE. If you think what Loosh has done is bad, you havent seen me on my game. I could tear some people up as i have in the Ford community for screwing me around.

You either live for the past, or live for the future. Clean slate here

When will you ever understand CPE doesn't have the power to BAN people from a forum? They asked you not be allowed to post in their section...the moderators took it upon themselves to ban you

as for your FMIC being efficient...dadasracecar is also the one who said something is probably wrong...

no i treated corksport exactly the same way i treated cpe. I emailed them saying i have a problem. Cpe chose to ignore my problem and i believe they said i had a faulty stock fuel system. Corksport on the other hand emailed me asking me for my phone number and address, Called me the next day and said they want me to try a new maf housing. They didnt deny that i had a problem. Big difference.

And yes i find it odd how the dp owner who is throwing cels has to take it off and resend it to cpe to get a fixed one sent out. You know what corksport did, SENT ME A BRAN NEW ITEM with a return lable to send the old one back. This way i dont have any down time and i dont ahve to the the same job twice. Once again, great customer service, not the cpe way

LMAO at the idiocy. YOU reported the data. I took it and compared it and lo and behold, your data was effed... hmmm. sound familiar?? Does to me.

More efficient? huh? not so much.
