From what i've read after searching many forums is that it looks like the rims will fit over the brembos, but im not entirely sure. Does anyone know if the Enkei Evo 6 wheels will fit without spacers? They are 18x7.5 +35 offset. I don't really know much about wheel offsets. Thank you

Not sure if i missed it in this thread, but is anybody sure of the necessary spacer size to run the stock ms6 wheel?

I have a the evo x gsr wheels with a summer tire set up so i'm not worried those.
But i use the stock ms6 for winter wheel set up. As my car is a dd unfortunately.

Im supposed to pick up a set of evo 8 brembos tomorrow.

thx

I stacked to 15mm and they still didn't clear the brembos on stockers. 20mm spacers probably. Maybe just find another Evo winter set of wheels.

Can you use the stock caliper bolts or do you need the evo caliper ones? If you need the evo ones what size are they?

Evo caliper bolts. Stock ones aren't even close to fitting. I never measured em, just bought a set online.

Make sure you get high tensile at least grade 8.8 but recommend and I went for 10.9

Thanks everyone for the information. I'm now going forward with this mod myself. Got Centrix blanks, calipers from Evo 8 (got from RockAuto; only $158 per caliper); Powerstop Z23 carbon ceramic brake pads and SS lines I got from RPM. Also, will be getting Drag DR 38; 18 x 8, 35mm offset (which is listed to fit a Evo 8, so hopefully will not have clearance issues). Will follow up on how everything fits. The Centrix blanks hub diameter is 69mm. I heard one member able to fit it without any modification, and another had to open the hub. I'm hoping no modification is required, but will let you know if it needed.

One thing I'm missing is the 2mm shim to place behind the rotor in order to center it. Where do I find a 2mm shim. I've found a 3mm one on Amazon, but so far cannot find a 2mm. Thinking about using the washer method, but would rather use a actual wheel spacer/shim. If anyone has info on where to a 2mm spacer/shim, I would appreciate it. Will report back how this progresses.

Just have the mounting ears of the caliper machined like I did, it is much better than using a spacer behind the rotor IMO.

How many of you have been running the Brembos for a while? What are your thoughts on them still? I am about to hit 15k miles since putting them on and I love them still. The feel, the look, etc..

I did paint them gold recently though.

I'm looking into getting different hats made for evo 2 piece rotors.
Obviously 2 piece rotors would be good to have but added bonus for me is less mods to caliper and easy replacements.

Will be using DBA Rotors, I've got a set of rotors from an evo to reverse engineer the hats just waiting on a spare set of front knuckles so no down time

Not sure wat he's running but I'm assuming a 245 or 255... u can run either with a 5mm spacer up front. I have enkei pfo1-ss 17x9 +48 with 5mm spacer up front so makes it a +43 offset... anything with +35 u should be able to clear. All depends on tire brand (not all tires r the same), width, and how much teh lowz u want lol

Spoke design plays a huge role in clearing these calipers. I wanted to run 17x10 +38 RPF1s but they wouldn't clear the calipers without a 20mm spacer based off what I've read on evo forums. I'm not at all afraid of doing more work to my fenders, it was moreso a question of curiosity.

Why has it been so hard to get ANYONE with the brembos installed to make a profile template?

What do you mean by template? And what do you want that for?

For anyone that has rims, they can verify fitment of the brembos before ordering the parts.

Well, we are using EVO 8 discs and calipers so it is essentially exactly the same here. In other words if a known wheel fits on an EVO 8+ then it will fit on the 6. Not sure if there are OEM EVO brembo templates out there but that would work.
