MS6 Aftermarket Suspension Braces Worth It?

Hey guys, I'm looking to stiffen things up handling wise and drop some weight if/where I can.

I've seen Corksport/SU Rear Trunk Braces, GT-Spec components, and then the Full Auto-Exe suspension brace kit which looks pretty badass.

Are these worth it? Can any of them save weight by replacing parts or are most of them additions to the factory suspension?

Any info would be great.

My car currently has RPM Minimum drop springs, Koni FSDs, and a Whiteline Rear Sway Bar set to stiff.

i have all the GT Spec bracing underneath, but i bought the car with it so i have no input on how it felt before or after, i know i dont feel any flex really....and im not about to take them all off to see sorry lol

I have the trailing arms, megan h brace, and rear seat brace. I got all of them used/cheap, the rear brace I literally got for a 6 pack of good beer.

Way less creaking of the car, I did notice the trailing braces helped out with the squating of the car through a corner, and the h brace felt like it tightened the front. Could be placebo affect, but I dont spend too much time in corners since thats what slows you down on track.

The "H Brace" is an additional brace right? It doesn't replace anything, just bolts on over the existing bracing?

I'd definitely be down for reducing those famous MS6 creaks haha.

lol i will say this they are well built and put on snug, there is a ton of construction/road work around my house right now and one night i was on my way home and i guess they dropped a little pile of asphalt which i didnt see, and i hit it, and kinda bent the front brace but its still attatched!

Sorry to threadjack but curious how you like the fsd's. I have same suspension as you except still running OEM shock. Been running them for about 35k since spring upgrade and its getting close to retire them. Was planning on Koni yellows but have always been curious about the fsds.

The FSDs are a great median DD shock. I needed something softer than the yellows due to my wheel setup and 30 wall tires, but if you're sticking with a 35 - 45 wall tire and like a more aggressive damper, the yellows are cheaper and perform better than the FSDs IMHO.

Yellows are nice and firm whereas the FSDs are comfortable and adaptive. It depends on what you want.

Thanks for info. I liked idea of fsd adaptability for DD but was worried they'd be under damped when paired up with higher rate RPM springs & WL RSB. But it sounds like they're working out for you though. With your lower sidewall your effective spring rate is probably higher than what I'd see with my 45's. Do ever feel underdamped with the fsd's?

On occasion, but I'd rather have that than bent $4k wheels.
