(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Here are two CX-7 CAI modifications made in my CX-7 1-. The stock one 2-. With a Customperformance CAI 3-. JBR CAI The Custom performance was easy to install and was really plug and play, the package had all the items for an easy install. The JBR one was a pain in the ass, they sell it for CX7, but it doenst fit easy in that model, you need to buy a tube and an angle to make it fit. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Well, after using the new mod this is what i have. The stock CAI doesnt emit any sound, is quiet and boring. The Custom performance sound is nice after 2000RPM i can hear the TSSS sound when i release the acc pedal, but the intake air is hot, because all the tube is metalic and doesnt have any disipation or temperature isolation, so the intake tube is always hot by the engine heat. The JBR CAI is shorter, but the TSSS sound is quiet even at 2500RPM (maybe the filter is too hard yet), the air temperature of the intake is colder than the other CAI, maybe is because the construction in silicone. I havent notice any power difference or something good yet. |
