| Not Ranked : 0 score Bnrs3 at most. The auto tranny is so weak in the cx that it simply can not support the higher hp and torque that comes with the big turbo. If you want to do it the right way do a transmission swap and get a gt 3071 and make a cayenne killer Sent while putting train lengths on @Redline143 ; What other mods you have? | The Euro-market CX-7 was available with the MZR-DISI and a manual transmission. This is the only combination that will hold up to a 3071/3076, and even then, with the car being so much heavier than an MS6, you're asking for trouble.

| Well he could remove the valve body and have a trans shop build him a proper shift kit and modify the line pressure. That will help quite a bit.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I have seen a BT done. It is possible. Hell. CPE makes the intake, intercooler, manifold and turboback. You will need FP internals and snag a discounted Versatune (on sale now, check their section). Having had a CX-7 from their arrival in the USA, it is possible, the trans can indeed handle it. I would look to an external trans cooler for sure. CX-7's are not to be downplayed for mods. When my wife had the TMIC and CAI alone, it gave it so much more power, little ricer Civics had trouble off the line. |

no it is not a direct swap not completely. The tranny should bolt up to the engine and the mount should line up. I believe the axle (driverside may need to be custom as it is too short) There is no hole in the firewall for the shift cables i dont believe. You will have to move the E brake also. So the cost will first off be for what a tranny would cost( in the area of about 11-1500, The axle may cost you about 3-500. I can't remember the other details that needed to be changed. Shifter cables, what ever they cost, clutch about 800 you would also need to to do a custom center console for the shift cables.

| Not Ranked : 0 score As I think more about it, it very well may work. In fact, I'll bet it would, with nothing more than minor modifications (if any at all). It's just that he'd have to find a different core, otherwise he'd be charged extra because of no core exchange. You can get a good turbo on here for cheap, though. The smokey ones are usually very cheap. I got a really good turbo for $150. It has virtually no shaft play, doesn't smoke and only has about 25k miles on it. |

Glad to see a fellow ''Quebecois'' that does some crazy shit on a CX-7 Did you tune with Veratuner yourself...or did you go with Stratified tuning? I got a used MS6 K04 from Darkthunder to put on my CX-7 (that shit needed a solid rebuilt...enough shaft play to rub the side of the compressor housing)...but im thinking about something bigger...BNR S3 looks appealing How is it going with Corksport catch can...mine froze a couple of time this winter...had to empty it every 5-7 days...lots of condenastion buildup...I also got some fuel/oil odor in the car when idling with the Corksport connection setup (crank and cam breather connected to the TIP vaccum line)

| Not Ranked : 0 score Any turbo option for the 3/6MPS Mazdaspeed 3/6 will also work on the CX7. You need pretty much the same power mods, and I'm not sure if the exhaust mods will require in-house fabrication or if you find any already done. But the idea is the same: - larger turbo (up to your choice and taste); - hpfp internals; - upgraded intake; - upgraded downpipe and test pipe; - a tuning software (Versatuner); - ideally but not necessarily WMI. At this stage depending on the turbo option you will be between 330 and 400 crank HP (depending on the supporting mods and software settings). I recommend not aiming for too high torque with the CX7 but for rather flattening the torque curve. 420-450Nm/310-330lb*ft below 4000rpm is where you want to be at. No problem upping the torque to 350lb*ft/475Nm in the 4000-5000rpm range.
