(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Today I have a rebuilt head ready to go back on. When I took off the intake manifold I noticed that a plastic arm that is attached to a rod going through the intake runner had broken off. I'm wondering if my intake is pouched because of this or can the rod with the flapper valves be removed. I have attached a pic of the valve that attaches to the rod going into the intake runner with the missing plastic arm. Any help would be much appreciated. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score You can remove the flappers like a pnp intake manifold. There is a code you have to turn off through the access port though. How to Port the Stock Intake Manifold

| If you have to deal with emissions testing, you're not going to be able to port the intake without throwing a code. You can actually get around this by A) searching the forum, and B) doing what I posted in the link below: Now what..P2006
