Pirelli Scorpion Verde

Finally replaced the crappy Eagle RSA with the Pirelli Scorpion Verde A/S tires and so far I'm happy with it. I was gonna go with the Nitto, being the popular choice here, but I heard it's not good in the snow and I live in Chicago. I was also about to go with a wider profile 255's but changed my mind (again because of our snowy road conditions) and stayed with the factory sizing of 235/60/18. Warranty is up to 50,000 miles and a high speed rating of V

I had an extensive driving experience with these tires when I recently went on a road trip from Chicago to New York. The difference is night and day compared with the crappy RSAs. Road noise is dramatically reduced. Grip and traction is excellent especially in wet conditions. The ride is smooth and I must say, I wish I've had these tires since day one.

Most of you will recommend the popular Nitto 420S but for some, I highly recommend these and can be had at $169 or cheaper. I was also considering the Michelin Latitudes but they're expensive.

I want to add that the Scorpion Verde features an eco-impact affecting rolling resistance and there is a noticeable, but not significant, improvement in fuel economy.

Also, we recently had 4-8 inches of snow and the Verde hold up quite well. I'm confident with its traction in the snow/ Good times !!!

Cool, good info. I like Pirelli tires, but my experience has been that they tend to cup over time which causes a lot road noise. Keep us posted

I've got the Pirelli P Zero's - have about 10k miles on em right now and they are awesome. I dont mean to rant, but - any "GoodYear Eagle RS or RSA" tire, is fucking junk. The hatred I have for them is unreal. I have them on 3 car's I've owned. They wear out b4 30k miles, they suck big balls in the wet/snow. We have them on our police cruiser where I work and I think they are at about 20% tread life and only have about 20k miles on them right now - FUCKING JUNK! What's funny is they cost more then the Pirelli's (or they did @ least)

I live them quite and very good traction in the wet and light snow. I have put 15,000 miles on them and am not disappointed. I live in Minnesota and we have not had any heavy snow yet but I will let you know how they do. Also the car handles better my cx7 had Goodyear Forteras on it and they were OK I am much happier with the Scorpions I bought mine off tire buyer for $164. The other tire I seriously considered was the Nitto NT850 CUV I had those on my Mazda 3 and loved them the Nitto was $155 both with free shipping.

Getting ready to replace the Nittos - was considering Toyos and Continentals in addition to Nittos - will have to consider these as well, though snow not a typical problem in my part of NC....

+1 for the Scorpion Verde's. I had the Nitto's and actually didn't care for them much. Verde's were much quieter and felt much better. IMO
