STOP!!!

This is thread number two for you asking questions you should have searched for.

Read you welcome PM and search the CX-7 threads before asking anything else.

Trust me it is more efficient this way and people won't dismiss you as a lazy ass.

I understand what you're saying...first off, this is my first post outside of an intro. I was told to check the sponsers...got it. so WTF do you mean, "thread number two for youasking questions you should have serached for"? I looked under the CX-7 threads and did not see anything regarding this question. Please post a link if you're able to.

Thanks.

I read too fast, thought you had a first gen CX-7, which CPE makes an exhaust for. You can find that on RPM's site.

I'm not up to speed on CX-7's so perhaps I assumed msf provided as much info on them as they do for nearly everything else. All too often folks come in here asking the same questions over and over. It gets annoying stick around long enough and you will understand. I haven't been here too long, but figured that out pretty quickly.

Plus I just felt like talking some shit, your response was impressive.

Welcome to the forums and good luck modding......it's addicting.

Before I got the CBE for my ms3, I planned on buying flanges that would mate with my factory down pipe, and have someone custom build a kit with an inline magnaflow muffler to resonate the sound. That might be an option for you.

So I called CP-E for some clarification on the 1st Gen CX7. It's my understanding that there was no "Gen" separation. Maybe this is an error on CP-E's part? It might bolt on without issues. This'll be one of my last mods though. I have learned that there is a lot more to do prior to exhaust. This forum has been awesome on the knowledge part. Love learning. Now if I can learn the technical side more.

No problem...no offence taken.

I'm pretty new to modding my CX7. I wish there was as much available as the MS3. I guess when you stop production on a car..the parts stop too. I'm not 100% sure on what I want for the exhaust. I see on RPM's site an axel back setup then anopther kit that is turbo back. I would assume I need to buy both. I'll call them next week and bug them. I'm really hoping someone has an exhaust and want to pass it on for cheap...I'll wait for Santa to land on my roof...

Anyways, thanks for replying to the thread...I was going nuts trying to figure out how I fucked up.

I still think going custom may suit you well. The problem is finding the flanges (if you want it to be bolt on), and finding a quality shop. I personally like the resonating qualities magnaflow mufflers provide, but there may be cheaper options.

Not sure if yours is turbo, but if it is make sure it is safe to add flow mods without having to upgrade amything else.

Good luck.

it is a turbo...custom is just a way for someone to "over charge" IMO. one shop quoted me almost $3K!!! I know I can get it cheaper than that. I'll do some digging and call CORK as well. Brandon over there seems to be very helpful. Do you know of a company out of Canada that sell performance parts?

3K is rediculous.

I think it can be done for 1000 or less.

Check with your local NATOR guys.

Go to a smaller muffler shop and make a simple crush bent exhaust setup. it will sound exactly the same as every other exhaust out there

HPFP is my first start. I'm sure while I take apart all the "other" crap to get to it...I should change them too. CIA, TIP, TMIC are going to be phase 1. Shitty part is that around $1000+ to get phase 1 going. Might have to wait till July. I get my Employee Stock and they will be more than enough to cover it without the wife (CFO/Warden) finding out.

Welcome to the CX7 mod club. See my build thread in the CX7 turbo section.

My stage 1 was a custom axle back exhaust with single tip muffler exiting on the left. Also deletion of the second cat replaced with straight pipe.

My stage 2 will be a custom dump pipe with high flow cat from a local supplier. There might be a couple of suppliers who can sell you a manufactured dump pipe. Its not worth it for me with shipping to Australia though.

What about an exhaust manifold? I've seen some advertised on eBay for $165. They worth it? They fit? Anyone try them? Any heat issues? I've tried asking the seller, but go round and round without getting any real answers. Seller is in China, sooo. lol Here's the link to one of them..
