Default Koolertron/Eonon with bose soundsystem connection

Hi everybody!

I've just installed my koolertron stereo in my Mazdaspeed3, the problem is that there is no sound coming through the speakers. I have bose sound system. This stereo is very similar Eonon as many other uses. How do you get sound from the speakers? Can any kind person help me out there ?

My guess is you don't have a 5 volt signal going to the amp remote wire on the Bose

The link that you attached says it will not work with Bose without some sort of modification!

U have to tap into the Mazda factory harness on the wire for the Bose amp to turn the amp on & off. U can use the remote on & off from head unit, but u will have to find the Bose amp on wire it's on the main white harness . It's on the top of the plug & it's white & blue .
Sorry man no pics of it.

The most direct way to splice into bose with an aftermarket HU is to convert the amplified outputs (or RCA outputs) to line level using one of the adapters below:
Kanatechs Bose Adapter For Mazda
PAC MAZATO Retain Mazda Bose/Centerpoint Factory Sound

I'm not sure if the latter will work on your year due to Centerpoint processing. But the approach is the same as the Kanatechs adapter. Otherwise use an RCA cable, cut in half, and run from the HU to the speaker L/R inputs on the factory harness.

Here is the pinout of the Bose harness.

TOP - In order from left to right *EDIT* These are the speaker outputs
grey w/ red stripe (FR-)
white w/ red stripe (FR+)
grey w/ black stripe (FL-)
white w/ black stripe (FL+)
solid grey (BR-)
solid white (BR+)
grey w/ white stripe (BL-)
white w/ purple stripe (BL+)

BOTTOM - In order from left to right *EDIT* These are the inputs to the amp
solid blue (remote turn on)
solid purple (FL+)
green w/ white paint (FL-)
solid red (FR+) *edit switched from FR-*
solid green (FR-) *edit switched from FR+*
brown w/ blue stripe (BL+)
yellow w/ blue stripe (BL-)
yellow w/ green stripe (BR+) *edit switched from BR-*
white w/ blue stripe (BR-) *edit switched from BR+*

Use one of those cable taps and connect the blue remote wire on your koolertron harness to this wire: solid blue (remote turn on)

Here's some more details:

The wire you need to splice into doesn't even have to be at the amp. Look at the harness in your dash, off of that harness there is a blue with silver dot wire on pin #13 . Use a scotch lock type of wire tap:

The wire you need to splice into doesn't even have to be at the amp. Look at the harness in your dash, off of that harness there is a blue with silver dot wire on pin #13 . Use a scotch lock type of wire tap:

Okey, every guids says different things.. so a cable from the stereo amplifier to the dash.. With a blue wire ?

You have to splice white with blue wire on factory in dash Mazda harness it has a white plug u connect into aftermarket radio. No need to splice into Bose amp.

Fuck you. I have the eonon installed in my gt with Bose. I wrote a fucking thread on how to do it. I linked to the info in my thread. My thread is all you need.

I linked my thread in here.

If you're too stupid to click that link and educate yourself, then you don't belong here.

But thanks so much! Send a PM to me if you want to know how to connect your koolertron to the bose sound system.
