IMO you should know these things prior to purchase..

In regards to the Whipple model, look at the blower itself, I'm sure you'll find a S/N that you can easily plug into google and get some specifications.

As for the maintenance questions, start researching.

did you even bother clicking on the link provided?

perhaps the parts and product quality aren't what need to be addressed.

Yes I did bother to read it. It still didn't answer my questions. You state that that may not be the problem, why don't you please explain it to me, that is why I have posted this thread. Some of us may not be geniuses. It seems to me that the whole idea of this forum is to help each other. Right?

Thanks again...

Well I guess it's Good Friday, and I'm hungover.

FM: Flyin Miata is one of the biggest miata aftermarket companies. The company isn't going anywhere so they can support you with any questions you have.

The kit is built on a custom intake manifold with a 1.2L whipple A1200ax supercharger which Whipple no longer makes.

They dropped the Ubercharger project as it didn't have the potential they wanted,
although It hit 242hp on a 9:1 comp BP with a built bottom end @ 15.5 psi on 98 octane.

The kit was $3800+ so expect that there's very few out there.

Here is whipple's recommended maintenance instructions
http://www.whipplesuperchargers.com/...aintenance.pdf

"New Whipple compressor ONLY: every 75,000 to 100,000 miles with one of the following oils. Whipple part number SCOIL-155 (W140) or SCOIL-200 (W200), Ford Motorcraft part number XL-4, or GM part number 12345982."

being that it's potentially a supercharger that's almost 10 years old is something you might want to step away from. Selling the superchager itself probably won't yield you any profit.

As cool as the guys are at Flyin Miata, just give them a call. They will answer all your questions. Also due to there not being many of them out there they might have some insight to the car/owner.

Thank you so much. I will take your comments seriously. I bought the car for 9,450.00. It's a 2004 Miata special edition in very good condition with a lot of suspension upgrades, roll cage and many other items, gauges, Borla exhaust, etc.. I think even with out the supercharger it's still a good by with only 40,000 miles and one owner who was a car enthusiast. If I have to replace the supercharger, I think i am still ahead of the game. The seller stated that it was dynoed at 187 RW HP. That's not bad. That what 210 SAE?

Thanks again everyone. Hope to be in touch...
