Default HID vs Halogen Assembly

Are the headlight assemblies interchangeable minus the fact that one has HID and the other doesn't?

I'm looking into retrofitting, but I want to make sure the HID stepper motor for leveling the headlights when the car's loaded still bolts up.

Different reflector and different projector altogether.

Oh I know that part.
I'm just talking about mounting points and such.

The plan is to go bi-xenon with FX-R's and then some. I'm just concerned about the rear housing and front lens if I'm to be honest.

The mounting points are exactly the same, you can put a halogen assembly onto a car which had the HID assembly and vise-versa.

But the assembles themselves are completely different.

Pretty sure no, which is why I said the assembles are completely different other than the fact that you can install a halogen or HID assembly on your car. LOL.

The adjustment motor is a stupid idea anyway, mine is always on "0".

I have a 2+ hour haul to camp and when loaded, the back does sag enough that I hit the adjuster to 1.

Besides, it'd better for pictures to adjust to 3 and then take the picture to avoid extensive glare.

edit: Plus it's required by law for HID lights.
