I use a windshield mount on the bottom left hand side of my windshield, route the OBD2 cable up along the steering column to that side. I have a zip tie stopper for the cable so I can even close the little cubby on it without the wire dangling everywhere.

I just use my phone mount and change out the backing plate.

There are countless posts here about AP mount options... Here's one I did with stuff already in the garage, but the aluminum & velcro are easily found

Total cost should be under $10 if you buy both

It just tension fits on the dash, between the soft dash and hard center console. I route the wire up by the steering column.

My cord is ran behind the dash so I have nothing exposed. Even if the accessport is out theres is 6" of cord that sticks out

This is the best Accessport mount. It's magnetic and you can just slap your Accessport onto it. Doubles as a cell phone holder.
