(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  Pink Calipers on a CB Car on stands (thanks Alex). A lot of passing neighbors slowed and stared. Pieces of the bird I hit about a month ago. Just thought it was cool. Painting 1st coat Wife pointing out her toenails are the same color. Almost ran to auto zone to pick up black paint. Front finished Back finished Close-up of the glossy finish I always wear socks when working on the car Finished The G2 kit was very easy to use. I highly recommend it. If anyone is going to use it, I'll share a few things I learned along the way. So what's the verdict? I think Pink looks pretty good on Cosmic Blue. Next up, pink fogs and a pink mazdaspeed logo to replace my white one. Then I think that will be enough pink, maybe the reflector in the spoiler just so there is some in the rear. Gotta get that pink from behind. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Wife suggested, I balked at first but the idea grew on me. It's my daily driver. I guess I'm just secure enough with my manhood to drive with some pink  . I was trying to find a color that went well with the CB. Red is overdone as is black. White wouldn't be noticeable. Yellow too loud. Gold was a finalist but ultimately Pink won out. Getting beat by a car with pink calipers is sure going to suck, I feel sorry for those people  .-oh and she was the one that snagged the curb, I won't let her forget it until she lets me buy new wheels. |

Hehe. I guess I'll have post up my masculine shoe collection to prove I'm not gay... Bronze would have looked good on the cosmic blue. The pink has darkened up a bit to more of a purple pink vs the hot pink. It looks good when the sun hits it. More of a fuschia (sp) color i guess... I'll take a few pics on Saturday with the new wheels on to show the updated color. The paint is fully cured now and has set up nicely. I had some brake dust that washed of the calipers much easier than off the tires. All it takes is a hose to clean em up. I'll definitely recommend the G2 kit (in any color ) to anyone wanting to paint their calipers.Next I need some, pink metallic windshield Wipers Pink fog light covers Pink Mazda speed vinyl (CAI size) Pink fuzzy dice Pink Gas Cap Pink Window tint Pink headlight tint Just kidding (about 5 of them, 2 will happen shortly) My wife wears the pants, shirt, boxers, socks and shoes, all I'm allowed are inappropriate facial gestures. | |

I didn't paint my calipers to try and please everyone on the boards, I painted them to please my self. I personally like the way they look. Their one of my favorite aspects. I posted to mainly review the G2 kit and show how easy it is to use, and how well of a finish it leaves. I hadn't seen too many posts on painting calipers so I though I'd drop my two cents in. If you follow the pictures it's a mini how-to. I knew I would take flak for painting my calipers pink. But it's what I wanted. Honestly I find a lot of the comments funny, some people tend to take things (and themselves) way to seriously. I guess for my next car I need to paint it black, black out all the lights and have black rims to make it as scary and sinister as possible, GRRR lol I'm tough because my car is scary looking hehe. In all it's really just fun. Don't ever worry about offending me with comments, post what's on your mind. | |

If I were to do it pink, I would have gone maybe a shade or two darker, maybe a bit more red. But hey, you like it, thats what matters. I'd like to see them in person. |
