Default Thank You James Barone Racing

I was lucky enough to get one of the blank black shift knobs the other day for only 45 shipped. Installed it this morning, easy install but still glad I read the directions lol...
here is a cell phone pic. (and by cell phone I mean old barely has a camera) so excuse crappy pic

It is a twO step procedure with a bit of trial and error. There is an inside piece that is adjustable w a larger Allen wrench. Follow the directions for how far to turn this. Then, you spray the shifter with wd40 and slowly thread the new knob on. You turn it back and forth and slowly create new threading on it. If you just twist it on it will sit way too high. If you force the process, you can fuck up your shifter... It's very easy, but important to read the directions if you are asking this question.

This is why you read the directions if your a noob. help broken stock shift assembly

Ckmazdaspeed3 pretty much sums it up. Here are James Barones install directions
http://www.jamiesplanet.com/support/...ob_Install.pdf
It is just important to keep going on/off with adapter while you finish the threads at the top of it. Awesome feeling product.. one of my friends recently got a Mazda 3 and she wants more girth (her words!! ) and I will be referring her to JBR shift knobs, to satisfy her..wish
