So, decided to hit up the track in Bradenton Saturday morning. I did horribly. First time out at the track with this car, just had new rubber (Nitto Motivo 235/40/18) mounted/balanced/aligned on Wednesday. Slips aren't in order of times I went, but from slowest to "fastest". Car was on full e85, full weight, sub, sidemount box, nothing removed.

First time up, while I was next in line to go, the car in front blew the engine halfway down the track, and leaked oil almost the rest of the track. So while it was already 85* out at 9:15am, and rising, my BAT's were sitting around 112. I got to sit for almost another hour, just baking in the FL sun, everything getting heat soaked. By the time they got it all cleaned up, car turned back on, and at the line, my BAT's were at 138* (they held around there the whole day, dropping to about 122* at the lowest during my runs all day), and it was 92* out (by the time I had left, my car said it was 99*, fuck FL). Now this is my first time ever with a fwd car at the track (had a 92 tsi awd talon I went to raceway park up in NJ a lot when I was younger), and for some reason my retarded ass decided to pretty much just drop the clutch at 3200 rpm (LC set), and the car shook like it had tourettes, and I sheepishly shifted into second, and went down the track from there. Getting a beautiful 3.078 60ft, and a 15.358@101.55.......

So second time up, learned from my mistakes made the first time, and lightly launched it around 2700rpm, getting my best 60ft time of the day at 2.442 (still horrible), only powershifted from 3-4, and ended up with a 14.368@103.42.

3rd run, decent launch, 2.485 60ft. powershifted 2-3 3-4, came with my best time (sadly) of the day with 14.184@110.56. Trapping that speed I should be quicker than a 14.1. I definitely need to work on my launch.

4th run, horrible. Spun in 1st, missed second, then missed 3rd, decided to just coast down. 20.581@56.47. I guarantee that has to be the worst MS3 time ever. I don't have that slip because not racecar status.

5th and final run because I was dripping in sweat from head to toe, another ok launch, 2.497 60ft. Missed 3rd again, ended with a 14.957@99.51.

Also, each run around 5.5k and above started to stutter a bit. Not sure if that's from plugs, or IDC's running close to 105 because full e85 (I know a lot of people can run them up to 120 with no problem, but I start to stutter around 105 for some reason). The heat was a killer also.

Anyway, I had a good time still, learned a little from my first time there with the MS3. Don't know if I'll be going back anytime soon, will probably wait until we get some cooler weather here. I know I have a sub 13.5 run in me, just need everything to come together perfectly. I don't have any video's from the runs, because those times aren't worthy of videos, so here's a video of me when I had my Talon.

Listen man, I feel you. I go to PBIR and I learned that Florida summers are brutal despite being at sea level, what with 90+ degrees outside and up to 80% humidity on a normal day. Its probably best to try again in winter.

I can't recall but are you on k04 or CS turbo?

I went there with my full interior 2013 on 30% mix and bolt ons and was pulling 13.8 @ 108. That track is real hit and miss on prep and florida does not help any at all. I was seeing IAT's of 140 while staging. Shit sucked.

K04 still, was going to get the CS turbo, but it can't be clocked, and I like my under route piping.

Yeah, I'm definitely planning on going back this winter, going with a 50/50 mix, and very much plan to be in the 13's. If I don't, I'm selling the car lol.

I've been eyeing the under car routing too and was really set on that cs turbo but lack of clocking is killing me
