(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Hello Mazdaspeed forum! This is my first post so pardon me if I don't know the exact way how to communicate my ideas and the speed lingo. Yes I know what your thinking this is just the basic smoking ko4 issue but I have been following threads trying to fix it before posting anything. Originally the car used to smoke a little bit at idle after warming up before I got the catless downpipe and fmic but I raised the idle via the AP and it went away. Once I got the catless downpipe I knew it was going to start smoking like a chimney but I was prepared and got the damond motorsports restrictor bolt and had it installed before the downpipe went in. The car would still smoke at idle after the downpipe so I did the next thing which was switching to 5w40 oil and hope. My car still smokes pretty bad at idle(raised to 1000rpm) once it warms up and all I can think is that my ko4 is shit and its time to move on to a cs cts4. Any other possible fixes other than replacing my turbo would be greatly appreciated! ![]() ![]() (Cx racing fmic, Cobb AP, Freektune on 91(almost done with revisions), turbo smart 50/50 bov, CS HPFP, CS Injector Seals, Cobb turbo inlet and intake, Damond oil restrictor bolt, M2 hatless downpipe, magna flow catback, NGK one step colder plugs, tranny(JBR) and rear(unknown) engine mounts.) |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Unless your oil drain from the turbo is clogged, It sounds like you have exhausted all possible options for mitigating the smoking turbo. I too put the restricted oil feed bolt and 5w40 and still smoking. The catless DP isn't helping either. |
