Default Boost creep?

I've had my AP for about a week now and running a stage 1+ map right now (also have a COBB cat back and a sri) and I've been noticing that if I get on it I can hit 20 pounds but tonight it showed 21 pounds on the AP. Now even though its been the first cool night since I've had the AP and maybe thats why it ran better my friend brought up that it might be boost creep and I will need a boost regulator. So before I go out buying regulators and controllers I just want to make sure that I really need them. So are there any tests I can run to make sure? Hopefully it was just a good night and not anything wrong.

Thanks for any help

I'm planning on putting on a down pipe in the next week and I'll be getting a professional tune after that so will that clear any problems as well?

Hopefully the tuner knows what he's doing and see's if there is any issues like that... But exactly what donot said... pull some logs and post them here, but until then we can't tell you really whats going on with what little info your giving us.

Im willing to bet that you are seeing boost spikes and not boost creep.

Boost creep is when the wastegate cannot bleed enough boost which causes the pressure to rise. Bost spike are when you initially mash the gas, the boost comes on too fast for the ecu to correct right away.
Im assuming you have the stock turbo in which case it has no problems with boost creep

Like was already said, a 'professional tuner' could be shit. Just make sure you do your research before you pay an arm and a leg for something that you can learn to do yourself.

What Blackspeed says is most likely your case.

If you are logging anything more than 0 (yes zero) wgdc, you are fine, and need to just get the tuner to cure a boost spike.

I'm pretty sure Blackspeed was right with the boost spike because I threw a light today and the code was a communication code so I figured the ecu just can't keep up. Thanks for all the help
