(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Hello all, I recently bought a used 2006 Mazdaspeed6, love it and it is such a sleeper. However I pulled the battery to install the right tray in it since it had a aftermarket universal one in it and i got a CEL for the fuel rail pressure sensor. I towed it to my trusted shop and they have identified the culprit to be the fuel rail pressure sensor. I have been looking and searching for about 6 hours now trying to find this damn sensor with out buying the whole damn fuel rail assembly for over 1000. Does anyone know of a resource that i can find just the sensor? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Colin |

| Not Ranked : 0 score first off, how is the car running? If you reset the ECM, does the CEL come back? It isn't a common failure. I checked my references and found 'SENSOR cannot be serviced separately because of structural problem. Please order by Assembly No.' That isn't a common note, so it must not be separable. If you have to replace, you may want to look for a used fuel rail on eBay or wreckers.

Also, my mechanic put a variable rate resistor inline with the FPS and was able to modulate the resistance and the car ran great so it is the Fuel rail pressure sensor. I was able to pull out the fuel rail pressure sensor and clean it it was pretty easy to do. This is what i think i need Last edited by SpecialK; 11-18-2013 at 01:09 PM. | Not Ranked : 0 score the sensor is a Bosch, High Pressure Sensor # 0261545006 I'm having the same simtoms, the car idles fine ,but it does not have any power at WOT. My problem began after intake man. replacement for a JMF manifold where the this sensor get relocated from it original fuel rail position. My question is why the AccPort shows that there is "0" pressure from the HPFP and "0" volts at the sensor? |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Probably it will, apart from minor tweaks to the ECU software (and eventually some different electronics to deal with the automatic transmissions AND the smaller turbos for the CX7 A/T) these engines are identical. So MS3 and MS6 should have identical parts in the engine. The reason mazda sells the entire fuel rail if you only need the sensor is that they have a special and very precise procedure of putting and sealing that sensor into the fuel rail. They do not recommend changing only the sensor because if the fitting is imprecise that may lead to various issues (since the pressures attained there are pretty big).

| Not Ranked : 0 score @SpecialK; here is a datalog I took this morning on my way to work. This is the sensor I'll be shipping to you. I'm on my laptop and don't have a way to view .csv files, so disregard any anomalies in that log haha.. Edit: Attached picture per forum rules. @GabSev; they were spoken for. I'll let you know if I have another, I'm not sure without checking.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I picked a sensor from a junkyard and no luck I still read “0” actual fuel pressure and “0” volts at the sensor. How is that some of you have spare sensor? I’m having a hard time finding a new one since the used one was bad, they sell them in England for about $280. Does anyone knows were to buy this sensor in the States? I just wan t to make sure that the bad sensor is what is causing the “0”PSI at the HPFP reading on the Cobb’s Access Port. |
