(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  Oil consumption PLEASE HELP K so I've been having issues ever since I bought my ms6 with 182300km with oil consumption. Ill give you a little background when I bought it it was running 5w30 I ran it till I seen dipstick was barely touching. Then red flag went up I added oil and kept driving like that. Now 2.5 weeks ago I changed the oil to 5w40. It seemed to do much better when driving nice no boost not putting engine under high pressure. I kept an eye on it didn't go down at all. I was starting to have hopes again. So I took it to a shop to get it checked out. We checked all tubes (intercooler piping, intake, pvc) not too bad. Then we went and did a compression test which gave us great results I was surprised with this many km I got 175 174 176 173. Pretty good. So then we went ahead and did a leak down test. We did the correct order in what you should with cyl at tdc. Through all 4 I have a 4% leak with 100psi in 96psi stays. So my mechanic said that I should drive it like before. Hard hit boost and have fun. So yeah I did. About 300km later I check my oil and its at minimum again. Like WTF is this cars issue lol. Please help Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk |
