Default Headlights fading

I polished my headlights using a 3M kit about a year ago, but now they look horrible. Planning on doing it again, but I want to clear or seal it this time.

What clearcoat or sealer do you guys use?

3M also makes a sealant I believe. However, I've been told that once you start polishing the headlights, it will always fade quicker. Best bet would be a clear vinyl over the lens after it's been polished.

I just compound (with a buffer) wax, and seal....that's all body shops do minus the sealer.

Headlight Restoration-new UV sealant idea

Ive seen this in a couple places around the net for a while. After I bake my lights open to clean inside, I plan to try it.
