(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I kindly ask for your help with starting my car ( even if the help would be "go read the F** thread", I couldn't find any referring to my situation) What I could find, most issues ends with relief valve replacement, eventually fuel pump... Long story short: Car was in garage for 1,5y. I replaced lot of stuff, disassembled practically every part beside engine block itself (major overhaul was done less than 10k ago) and now I cannot start it. Symptoms: fuel pressure on access port is constantly 58-64PSI, even when cranking motor. Car for a moment hesistates if should start up or not, some smoke from exhaust appears and after 1 second gives up - still kranking but no combustion can be heard What I ruled out so far: battery - brand new spark plugs - brand new, but even the old ones were working fine coils - Tested and ok starter - rebuilt HPFP - replaced (with used one) The magic wire that needs to be grounded is grounded Relief valve - replaced (with used one) Throttle - cleaned, acting as required Crank position sensor - Tested and ok ECU restored to factory and then economy map uploaded so I can read values. What I don't know how to check: spill valve on HPFP. If it is disconnected, should pump provide high pressure or not? But anyway, I replaced whole unit.. So anyway, If could someone point me into some more tests I can do I'd really appreciate it. Best regards Michal |

| Not Ranked : 0 score The fuel pressure you are looking at with your access port is the pressure delivered by your intank fuel pump. Your HPFP will do alot more than that when working. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Thx for reply. It is always 58-62. The question is: is it sufficient pressure to start the car and I should look for cause somewhere else or that is exactly my problem.. Today i disassembled spill valve - it was dirty and stuck - wasn't able to push it with screwdriver. I connected it directly to battery and there was also no reaction. I cleaned it up and now i'm able to move it manually but still no work while connected to battery. since i have two pumps I did exactly the same to the other spill valve and it is acting the same. Do i test it right? Other thing is i measured voltage on wire to spill valve and there is always 0V (also while KOEO or cranking) any suggestions? Last edited by mikaeli; 09-23-2017 at 01:04 PM. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Did you ever figure out what your issue was? I'm having a similar issue. Replaced damn near everything fuel related. Still no start. |
