Logging using gear 3 WOT. from datalog my fuel pressure drop below 1600psi at rpm 2867~5128. but arise again above 1600psi on rpm 5220. do i need upgrade internal hpfp My car info Just remap & up boost to 1.3bar. 243hp to 267hp torque : 41.63 to 46.83 |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Quite a lot of boost at low RPMs - be careful. Per your question - yes you have a fuel pressure issue (most likely HPFP). Get that fixed before you ZZB.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Short answer - Yes. Longer answer - since the log shows rail fuel pressure below 1600 @ what you describe as WOT, you must upgrade the pump. And stay out of boost until you get that done. Log does not show throttle position, so I assume you were WOT when pressure dropped. I'll bet that a complete log would also show injector bandwidth longer to try to compensate for low pressure. Lucky it didn't blow.

| Not Ranked : 0 score wow, I'm surprised you didn't blow up. I think you have other fuel issues, not just the HPFP internals. I wouldn't drive the car at all. and shamie, those boost numbers for some reason are absolute pressure, not gauge pressure.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Don't log again! Not until after upgrading the pump. We are trying to save your engine. If those drops were at WOT, you are already in trouble. If you have previous logs where injector bandwidth was logged under WOT, they would be worth looking at. Making a new log will only expose you to serious risk of zoom, zoom, boom. What is it about "stay out of boost" you don't understand?

| Not Ranked : 0 score You were damn close to blowing up, that if the engine is not hurt already.. Stop going WOT with that tune. At 37080 you actually hit 20PSI of boost and the next lines show the smallest fuel rail pressure reading, below 800PSI. 1.3BAR of boost is 19PSI, you should not go more than 17.5-18 and load of 1.9 without aftermarket HPFP internals. Yes a stock HPFP will allow for almost load 2 without loosing pressure but probably when new and clean, and not for long anyway.

Yes, that is MAP (manifold absolute pressure) in PSI. If the MAP is 35PSI and barometric pressure is around 1BAR which is 14.6-14.8PSI depending on where you are... 35-14.7 =~ 20PSI. Believe me, you were very lucky to have your motor survive at 20+PSI at <4000rpm and 750-800PSI FRP. I have not seen such crap occurring since 2011-ish when people became aware of the importance of the fuel pump internals. So you doing this in 2018... you were given a title in a few posts above and you well deserve it
