(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Okay this is prob a nube question and I have searched and havent found my answer so...do I need to replace my entire fuel pump or can I just get the internals replaced and be fine? Are replacing the internals basically the same as getting a new fuel pump minus a few hundred dollars? Thanks. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Will you donate if I give you the answer? You clearly haven't searched, because this has been covered ad nauseum. Basically, do internals if you know how to operate a wrench and a table vice. Buy the whole thing from CP-E if you are a full retard. /thread please lock @doubleflusher

| Neutral : +1 score cp-e offers full pumps with upgraded internals. But you can buy upgraded internals and put them in yourself ie. kmd, autotech...

| Not Ranked : 0 score You can do either replacing internals is a helluva lot cheaper and there's a group buy going on that I think ends tomorrow or something..and with internals u take ur pump out switch internals back in when u switch pumps you have to send ur pump into cp-e and you get there entire replacement pump...just go with internals Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk

| Not Ranked : 0 score Yup. You're right. Pump = internals + labor. Internals = DIY If you can do it yourself you might as well and save some money. Or do what I did and enlist someone who's done it before :p. Best if you have an ap or other monitoring device so you can watch your pressure in case you fucked your shit.

| Not Ranked : 0 score So, did you get the internals (Brand?) and how did it turn out? I'm in the same debate, $350 or so for internals vs $640 or so for the pump after core return. I guess if the only difference is the labor then yes DIY is right. BTW, what is the lifespan of CDFP upgrade? It seems a few people need replacements after only 10K. |
