Default Poor gas mileage from 260-280 miles on a tank down to 200-220 miles per tank?

As the subject says, my gas mileage has dropped significantly recently. No changes have been made to my car to cause this. I normally get around 260-280 miles on a tank and now i'm getting 200-220 miles on a tank and thats light foot easy in town surface street driving. I did receive a cel P0441 and after googling that people recommended to change the gas cap due to an impropper seal so I did. After changing the gas cap the cel turned off but the poor gas mileage remains.

Does anyone else have some ideas as to why my gas mileage is so bad? I'm using the same gas i've always used which is 91 from QT. I'm still running the same map i've been on for several months. I'm just over 15,000 miles on my Denso ITV22s. I just did a MAF sensor cleaning and that did not resolve the problem.

What else should I look at or could be causing this?

Thanks

Eric

+1, check some ap logs.

could be fuel too, could be getting gas that has more ethanol in it.

a little bit of ethanol won't hurt gas mileage that bad. Full E85 won't hurt gas mileage that bad

How many miles are on the car? Can you grab an AP log of slow acceleration (like a MAF cal log) and a WOT log?

I will grab some logs later this week and post them up. My tyranny mount needs to be replaced and the new one arrives Wednesday. My car just rolled over to 66,666 miles on Saturday. Also the poor gas mileage has been on several tanks in a row.

I'm saying its the heat. My car has been steadily decreasing in mpg as the temp rises.

Wow, thats quite a difference. Do you think heat can effect mpgs that much?

What does your mileage calculate to? My 6 gets 21 city and 28 hwy even with some heavy driving.

I've experienced something similar, but a lot of it is due to the fact I pretty much do straight city driving now. Good luck getting this figured out man.

what's your city/highway percentages and have they changed recently?

I was getting 300 all day long when i was commuting 1 hr to see my ex. Now that i'm not i'm lucky to get 280, and i'm not particularly less or more aggressive now.
