(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score background on my car, stock suspension for now, just picked up some rx8 wheels to run for summer duty. I was thinking it was between Nitto NT555 G2, Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 or Sumitomo HTR ZIII. looking to spend no more then $750ish for a set and have both good wet and dry traction

| Not Ranked : 0 score I was in the same boat for a set 9f summer tires for rims i just purchased. I did not want to spend more then 160 a tire.I just picked up a set of conti extreme contact sports due to there wet traction reviews the nitto. Hopefully mounting them tommorow. Michelin pilot sport 4 is a better tire but its 200 a pop. Dont have much Experience with the others.

I switched to a set of Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 and its like night and day. Wet traction is surprisingly good. AWD helps. But the dry traction is amazing. Way better than the Conti's. Those felt like sponges compared to the Hankooks. I commute over a twisty mountain highway and these tires have much less sidewall flex. They just feel planted mid corner and I cant seem to break them loose. Which is a good thing!

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score awesome! thank you guys for the replies, now I'm just in a dilemma for size, i got some rx8 18" wheels, I'm thinking about 225/45. the wheels have junk tires of that size but it seems like that would fit very well under the car. I am at stock hight right now but planning a suspension overhall next summer if not sooner, lowest I'd go is 1-1.5" lower then stock.
