Default Quick Kumho Ecsta SPT review

I just had the stock Potenza RE050A on my MS3 at just a hair under 25k miles. So I thought I'd do a quick review of what I replaced them with.

Price: $118 each (total $507 shipped from TireRack.com)

-Grip is very good, no noticeable loss (maybe even slightly better performance) with daily driving.
-There's more "road feel" with these tires. So You're ride is slightly less comfortable but I don't think it's a major issue.
-No degradation in steering response.
-There's some minor increase in road noise ( you probably won't notice if you have an intake )

I didn't get to spend that much time with them (20 mi mostly hwy between work and the tire shop), but I'd so far I'd say overall these are pretty good tires, especially if you're a on budget and just need new DD tires.

I go through a set of tires each summer at the rate I drive. I might look into a cheaper tire and these look like a good tire for the price!

Save me some money for some seperate autox tires and wheels too!

quick addendum:

I've had a chance to drive these in the rain and i was a little worried at first, but I gotta say these hold up very well when it's wet out. Far exceeded my expectations, I'd say these handle the water better than stock.

I've had personal experience with a few sets of these Kumhos SPT tires. The tires are an excellent bargain for daily drive vehicles. Great grip, quiet ride, and awsome-looking tread. I definitely recommend these tires. I currently have two sets on my three sets of rims. My other tires are Nitto Neo Gens.

I looked into these tires but heard many reviews of them being out-of round after sitting for overnight and extreme noise as they wear. OP, how are these tires holding up for you?

I reeally like these tires traction is great, I was driving 80-90 through heavy rain with puddles on freeway with sure footed feel all the way. I think there great.

Get a different UHP tire than the SPT. They're many better options in that range of tires.
