Donate and then you have acess to the shop manual. The only thing i know for sure is you need special timing tools.

really? shit do you know how much it costs for the timing tools? or are they just general timing tools for pretty much any car?

also im rebuilding my motor right now and dont have the $10 as im in between paychecks so if you can send me a link to the shop manual page for the timing chain that would be greatly apprecated

I don't think so. From what I hear you need to get the tool through Mazda.

im pretty sure they are some special mazda tools, i think that is what took streetunitmark so long to get his build going if im not mistaken, but i might be wrong...

Enough bullshit about donating, he's only at ~60 posts, give him shit when he hits a few hundred and hasn't donated...

You need the OEM SST's to set the timing. It's not a DIY job unless you have them... If you do it wrong you get to replace all 16 valves and rebuild your head...

You should already have service manual if your building the motor...

what does "SST" mean? I'm trying to redo my change making it a DIY job. Already have OEM parts "timing chain kit" will I need a new oil pressure controled tensioner?
