Weird engine noise

Hi I'm new to these forums, I've had a ticking/popping sound from my mazdaspeed 3 for about a week now and cant seem to figure out what it is. you can hear it from both sides of the car near the front wheels and inside the engine bay near the back where the turbo is located, the noise only starts when the vehicle is hot usually after a long drive and not at all during a cold start. Also it can only be heard at idle not while driving the car or giving it a little bit of throttle.

while driving the car I noticed a bit less power at WOT and boost will hit 15psi then slowly drop to about 12-10 depending on the gear. my suspicion is the exhausts manifold may have a leak around the gasket but when putting my had around it I wasn't able to really feel anything hoping its not my turbo going bad or even something worst.

Your video is down but it sounds like it could be 1 of 2 things. The first is a bad idler pulley. They make a lot of racket when the bearing starts to go. 2 it could be the dreaded VVT issues. after your engine is heated up pop the oil cap and poke your engine in and feel your timing chain. if it has excessive play your VVT cam could be going.
