I need some help with my boost levels. My SB is set for 18 psi and I can’t boost more than 12psi by some reason. I got a tial 44mm wg with 1.3 bar springs. I thought that the springs will be strong enough so I would not need a restrictor pill. I guess I was wrong. I was looking into solenoids to fix this issue, and I ran into the grimmspeed. I called then and I was told that it was my best choice if I am not getting an EBC. The guy basically said that it would work perfectly with the standback, so I am wondering if it will work like he said or if he was bsing me.

If you have a 1.3bar spring setup and are only hitting 12psi, you have other issues you need to fix before you worry about a boost solenoid...

You should be hitting 18~19psi without any help from the SB...

how are you reading boost?

My guess is you are looking at the dash hawk to read boost and that will only read what you clamp it to.

Do you have the flashes as well? All three? Are you running the xcelXL intake?

I found the problem the dern synapse bov wasn't sitting right on the flange. Now I am boosting 20psi. Shall I get the selenoid anyway? Will I need it to get more out of the gt30r?
