I wanted to thank CP-e for great job they did on my MS6. They installed:

ATP GTX2867r
CP-e Ceramic coated LTRmani
Damond Motorsports TB spacer
CP-e custom Oil return line
Kozmic Oil feed line
Corksport 3.5 Bar MAP
Snow Performance Stage2 with safeinjection, flow gauge
Water Meth Alcohol Injection 3 gal tank
Hawk pads, SP Peformance slotted rotors, braided lines
CP-e xflex diff mount
Grimmspeed 3 port boost controller

Dyno tune (nice conservative tune)

That looks like an awfully low power output for that turbo, even on the MS6.

Yeah, that's very low, probs would be cheaper and better with a etune.

It's on mustang dyno. Traditionally reads lower than jet dyno. Not looking for mad hp but safe reliable tune.

If you're happy that's great. Those numbers could have been hit for much, much less. That's what they're trying to get at.

That makes a lot more sense. When I use the Mustang correction factor in Vdyno, I see about 300awhp/330awtq, so you and I are in the same place now. So...looking good! There's definitely more in that turbo if you want to go looking for it, though :-)

Who actually tuned the car?

And I can tell you from watching quite a few cars get onto CP-e's dyno; its a cruel sumbitch. His car most likely over 300whp.

Sander, CP-e. He also did some diagnostics on some ignition issues.

With meth injection and that setup, you have an easy 40-50whp on the table there when you are ready to start exploring. You guys have decent pump gas out there too. It looks in your sig that you have a built motor also, so even 350whp is still very conservative.

Man, I really want to know what you paid them to do all that, but you probably don't want to share and I understand that.

Probably more than I should have but well worth my time and effort. I am older and have seen better wrenching days years ago. Need to spend time with family and not messing up the driveway and garage. Wife would kill me. Simple (relative) bolt-ons and oil changes are about the only time I have time for.

Thanks for the info on power potential. Since racing is not really my scene, that's enough power to make me smile every now and then.

CPe's dyno is definitely a heartbreaker, can you post a log so that it can be run through vdyno for comparison?

+1 to CP-e's dyno being harsh. I believe its generally accepted that it even reads a bit lower than other Mustang dynos with the way they calibrated it.

Dynos are just a way to gauge effectiveness of tuning. That is what I took away and a verified log of it. The numbers are consistent with others and I am content with that.:bigok:

I will see if I could get vdyno done. (have figure out how :lol:)

I think you would be very happy with the big jump you got from an e-tuner, or by playing with it yourself.

I make more on my K04, by quite a bit, and the 2867 should make a lot more

Does your dyno have a power absorption unit or is it an inertia unit?

Mustang dynos, like the one we have are load based so they will typically read lower. There are calibrations we can use to give the dynojet numbers, but those calibrations aren't always 100% accurate. We like to give our customers the actual readings rather than padding it to give higher numbers. This is always explained to the customers when they question the numbers. The main purpose when we get customers in for tuning and/or installs is the difference in power, before/after. That is the number that's most important.

I'm fairly well versed with dynos. Spent all last semester on the Superflow unit at school. I like to see what shops are using. After using the Superflow and seeing all that it can do I'm not a huge fan of inertia dynos. That's not to say they're not a great option for a small company who can't afford a nice dyno with all the bells and whistles.

I had my car dyno'd at CP-E and honestly I think the biggest problem they have there whether they are willing to admit it or not is their fan setup. They have this outrageously loud fan setup that they claim simulates 85 MPH winds or something ridiculous, however I have never seen BATs as high as I saw in these logs in any WOT log I have ever taken...even 3rd gear ones where I was really heatsoaked from sitting on the side of the road flashing maps. I think the problem stems from the fact that the fans are only at operating speed when the dyno is physically rolling (possibly because they consume huge amounts of electricity, or the fact that they are absurdly loud).

Here are my dyno results and the three logs are attached. The car at the time had a K04, ebay downpipe, CP-E TMIC, 3.5" intake, and a half-baked 2 gallon in-tank methanol tune.

On the same tune I vdyno'd 290 at CF=1.01 so the dyno seems accurate to me. My thinking here is that the problem with the fan setup would be magnified on an MS6 which not only lacks a hood scoop but has terrible under-hood ducting. I think if OP took a good 4th gear log with their CP-E tune on the highway, they might see higher numbers.

Our fans are set to be at the same wind speeds as if you were driving down the road at that particular MPH this giving the most accurate reading as if you were on the highway, but we should look into a secondary fan to run while the car is idle on the dyno. Thanks for pointing that out.
