This thing just arrived and we wanted to share some pics of it. This is a full 3" inlet designed to fit both stock and GT-series turbos. You guys with the 4" turbo flanges listen up! (This is not a final production piece. Some features on the final product are not shown in this example below).








We'll get it on a car to test fit soon. Should fit both MS3/MS6 too!

None yet really on either front. I could give an estimate on price and ETA, but that seems to get us into more trouble than it's worth, so for right now let's just say its a work in progress, heh. We need to have one more sample made I think, and then we can start final production.

What we're going to do is offer two different sizes: One for stock turbos and another for GT-series. You can tell the unit pictured above is for a stock application because the end necks down to the stock turbo inlet size. The GT-series inlet on the other hand will 'bump-up' to 4-inches at the end so you don't need to dick with special couplers or adapters at the inlet.

Ok, so it will taper down for those of us with the stock turbo... how gradual is the transition from 3" to the stock turbo inlet size (ie: will it cause any issues like turbulence, etc...)? Also, this will mate up to any intake that works with the stock inlet, correct (ie Cobb SRI, Nano, & cpe cai, etc...)?

break it looks like it will work with all intakes, thats what the shiny insert is for so you can hook up your coupler to it.

Yup, as skeeter said it'll bolt up to all cold air intakes. We'll have different couplers that'll attach to the metal insert at the front of the inlet so it'll work with the various intakes on the market.

The transition from 3" to the stock turbo inlet (~2.5") is relatively smooth. You can sort of see the transition in the first and second pictures above. I don't think it will generate any appreciable turbulence, but we'll see what we get on the dyno

silicone rejects heat better than aluminum or any other kind of metal....it's also cheaper to produce...thats what i can think of from the top of my head

Rejects heat or keeps it in? I would think you'd want the heat to escape from the intake as much as possible, but I could be wrong.

lets not forget that a 3" hardpipe sure as hell will not fit in that tiny space stock, so the silicone will crush w/o loosing any cross sectional area for flow...
