peep this: it works great! so basically, we are going to put this on, and on the other end of the inlet (where the CAI goes) we are going to go from a 3"→3.5" transition, and attach the larger MAF housing. Hopefully Randy will be putting down monster HP numbers, very soon!

| Not Ranked : 0 score Sounds like a great part and CPE is the bomb! I would order one now but after buying SB + Pro Fuel + PNP + Springs + Oil Conversion + Sandwich Plate I am a bit strapped. Plus the stupid USD to CAD exchange rate is in the dumps, I don't really want to pay $300 CAD + shipping for it right now. But it is for sure on the list. After my meth kit. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Well Ive got the only "official" purchase orders in on these guys. That means i get mine first. Its a big purchase order.... cpe will fill me and sell their direct orders. Beware of other vendors offering a preorder on this part as to my knowledge i am the ONLY vendor who has actually committed to these and that means that other vendors may be waiting until round two. I WILL not accept money unless i know they are in the pipeline and I will not accept money for product i havent officially ordered that i know is in the pipeline. that happened with nanos... some guys had to wait a LONG time, from vendors who never had a commitment on a timetable. based on initial interest in my pms...i expect this to be a hot product. dont be surprised if they sell VERY quickly. pm me now to get in on the list. And thanks for posting those pics Cam.... this EXACT inlet is what im going to run on my car. It can be modified to fit ANY turbo size. any gt series turbo will have no problem fitting this. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score i will be collecting money up front for these. Let me be clear. I am going to intro price these certainly... you all deserve it because youll have to wait for them another 1-2 weeks. Im headed to CPE on the 30th of this month through the weekend to finish up my car. i will ship FROM DC if they are ready at that time. if they are in hand at CPE "by the end of the month".... that means they go out that Monday 12 days from today. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score i wonder why cp-e went with a full 3 inch? they did mention in their cai thread that transitioning from different sizes isn't good so why go from 2.5 inches to 3 inch then down back to 2 inch (turbo side) cobb will be staying 2.5 inches all the way across |

| Not Ranked : 0 score oh really? are they gonna offer a new turbo in order to accomplish this? this inlet will flow. there are already a bunch of inlets available at 2.5in. if you want to wait on a cobb inlet at that size for your stocker turbo give it a go. this inlet is something different. your going to have to link the context of the statement you quoted from cpe. but i know they wernt interested in making another tinker toy for the car with this inlet. im grateful... i wanted a larger 3in inlet to replace my atp which despite the fitment issues... DOES pick up noticeable power. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score i agree with palerider, the cobb inlet can't be 2.5" the whole way across, as it has to go down to the correct size at the turbo which i think is like 2" or 2.25". |

Cobb's and CP-E will be shrinking too....but the thing i am wondering is with cp-e....why does it start at 2.5 (beginning of inlet) then bump up to 3 inches (middle of inlet) then back all the way to 2 inches (mouth of turbo) cobb stays 2.5 inches from the intake till the mouth of the turbo...where it HAS to shrink down cuz of the size of the stock turbo

Why did we do this? Because the guys with big turbos and big MAF housings aren't going to want a 2.5" inlet.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I need a favor I need you guys to check to see what the inner diameter is at intake side. My maf housing has an OD of 3.1x and I'm worried that the Maf may be bigger then the mouth of the silicone inlet making it impossible for the maf i have to go inside of it. Can you check please other wise I can't use this for my project.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Yup since the inlet is silicone and the maf is metal the inlet will act like a coupler and i'll just Tbolt it. It works in my head at least as long as the inlet can stretch enough. If Randy can't get them in his hand and to me before the 4th I'm gonna have to bail though and stick with a custom one.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I asked this before but I think it got overlooked... is this going to mate up to Cobb's intake. I'm all for giving more business to CP-E but I wanted to avoid connecting it like a puzzle with extra adapters, going down in size and then coming back up, etc... What's the word? |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I'm planning on getting a Nano SRI, I'm not sure if the silicone coupler that comes with the Nano will mate with the turbo inlet or need an adapter. It should. WE just need people with different intakes to measure there MAF housing tubes or whatever and compile a list of the different sizes. I'm sure there aren't that many. Most will likely be between 2.5" and 3" |

| Not Ranked : 0 score i think you guys are probably getting panicky for no reason, because all the major intakes are designed to clamp onto the stock inlet...the cpe inlet is designed to be a direct replacement, so it will fit just fine. if it fits one of them, it will fit them all. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score BTW, I just noticed that the official name is the "Nviscid™ Pipe". What the hell does that stand for? |

'In fluid dynamics there are problems that are easily solved by using the simplifying assumption of an ideal fluid that has no viscosity. The flow of a fluid that is assumed to have no viscosity is called inviscid flow.[1]" In other words, I'm pretty sure it's nerd-wordplay, implying that the inlet provides ideal airflow into the turbo.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Sure. It's just an educated guess, but then again, I've had several in-person conversations with Jordan, so I know he (and perhaps others on staff) are just geeky enough to go there.

![]() LOL, we're so called out. That was a good call Byron! Yeah, we thought it'd be a cool name because inviscid flow basically means no friction, or no flow losses. It isn't really technically correct though because it literally means no viscosity, but the end result is the same
