What are your plans on terms of power goals? If you decide to keep the stock k04 I would recommend picking up a set of the internals that @XLT_66; is selling. I understand money being tight, but if you have the $1000ish dollars to front for a pump, you can spare $25 to donate. You might be able to pick up a pump in the f/s section.
