I would argue that the fact that it is not compatible with TMIC's means that it is not indeed a "true bolt on" solution.

They say they designed it to work directly with an FMIC because they think the benefit of a larger core is needed, but it was demonstrated that their own FMIC kit doesn't seem to outperform a competing bolt-on TMIC.

I'm still interested in hearing about the Havoc rail. I'll toss my TMIC right in the trash if there's really a bolt-on PI setup in the works here.

Have u seen their FMIC for the ms6 atleast? It has like 20ft of piping and a tiny core tht is covered by the crash bar. There is a question in my mind sayin, "Who thought this was a good idea?"

I know why CPE and corksport do it, so u can keep the windshield wiper reservoir, but if u aren't willing to delete tht bitch u aren't ready for a serious FMIC anyways (on an ms6).

As for not working with a TMIC all ud need is some simple brackets and custom hot and cold piping and it should work. No more work than going FMIC anyways.

You guys, I can look at the angle in the manner the TB attaches and can completely see it's not going to be entirely plug and play. I would say this is a non-issue for those looking to dive this deep into the mod pool.

I would agree. Some modifications will have to be made to the cold pipe regardless. Not a big deal. Most of us have made our own cold pipes over the years. And the JMF requires the cold pipe to be custom as well.

I have a cpe mani en route and will post some pics as well as adjustments I make to the cold pipe, as well as results on the dyno. But will just make a new thread when the time comes

Yea, I moved on. I'm struting a JMF manifold now. I'm glad CPE released a new product for us and very grateful. I just couldn't justify the $1000 on something that has nothing but pictures of 60% of its exterior online.

No info on the whole fuel rail option (how is it setup if you dont use it, how is it set up if you do), flow improvements, power gains, etc.

I'm not saying JMF is better, just saying I know 100% what it looks like and have a pretty good idea on the results it will give me by the data that is available.

Well over a month later and still waiting for the manufacturer to release any kind of data on this intake manifold...no PI details, nothing...sad.

Soon CS will release their IM, and with no data on the CP-E, CP-E will have lost whatever advantage they thought they had by releasing it so early, since I doubt many are willing to buy these knowing nothing about their potential benefits.

Hey man...you know I'm new to this platform. I don't know CP-E's history like you guys do...all I know is, I have two of their parts on my car, they're good quality, and I'm happy with them. I've been to CP-E and gotten my car dynoed there and hung out with some of their staff. They seem like a good organization and good people. After all they obviously spent some good time developing this nice manifold option for us. This is where my surprise comes from.

This Shit is just fucking ridiculous. I think cp-e hates us, and their goal is to frustrate us. They do make great parts. Parts that they won't sell to us unless you have enough disposable cash to buy a package where the typical buyer would probably drive something pricier than a mazdaspeed to begin with.
Then they play this game with this manifold where they are suddenly trying to rush this out to us with absolutely no real data after all this time because they're just this small little understaffed company. Fuck that. I call bullshit. Among a ton of other shit THEY OFFER FUCKING FLOW TESTING AS SOMETHING THAT THEY DO! They even talk shit about some Superflow 1020 flow bench right on their website.
So if I'm wrong than what gives?

The cover/gasket failed due to a backfire that most likely created and extreme amount of pressure. NOT the 34psi he was running.

There was another failure posted on the FB groups. CP-e offered to weld it shut I believe.

I still haven't seen a flow comparison done as was done with the ST manifold.
