That's rediculous.

Not that it matters to me now because I got some custom made but it's been a lot of headache getting everything together along the way. They let me buy the Tial manifold earlier this year but now they won't let me buy the downpipe to go with it.

Tomas, Tial has a twin scroll v-band hotside in the works it was at SEMA this year. So if CPE decides to re-cast the manifold in a twin scroll configuration then you are set.

I don't think the EFR turbos are all that great to be honest. Perrin tested them back to back and unless you get a larger frame it's not better than the GTX units. At least you can buy the GTX units.

I guess now it's the race to who releases the intake manifold.

Materials, reliability, repsonse, spool, broader power band... Not to mention they're in stock as we speak.

Everyone has their opinion, just be sure and drive an EFR based car before you "Decide" there's no difference.

Back on topic... Shiny kit! Not really down with a vband mounted turbo to manifold or EWG, but it's cool.

The tial hot side gtx turbos are very very nice. I think the kit is a great price but most people already have half of those parts. I nearly bought a cpe vband mani but I backed out because of the dp fab work, my car has been down since june already.

Whoever makes the ebay dp needs to make another knockoff dp, I think cpe has the best high hp mani on the market right now and the price is very reasonable.

Strongly disagree the small frame EFR turbos can not benefit from a TS housing. You can flow all you want with a large enough compressor wheel

but if you chock the exhaust you are gonna limit the engine's potential.

You don't want TS for faster spool only. You also want it for less backpressure given that you usually use a higher AR with a TS.
that is y you run a big w/g it bypasses the turbo so it controls boost and extra exhaust pressure is also relieved ..........

their is a hundred ways to do it

i prefer smaller hot side, bigger w/g for better spool

just because you don't go WOT under 3k doesn't mean that you're not going to blow, take me for example, my piston/rod went through my block at 5k rpm. upgrade your rods before bt. piston going through block is bad.

Maybe they will sell the DP if there is enough group pressure?? Does sound like they are punishing the people who have already purchased the manifold.

There is sooo much to buy..... this forum is going to make me poor but happy!

We should put pressure on them, if they sold the DP Seperate they would see a higher manifold selling rats too. The DP fab as someone put it is the thin holding people back from what is the best quality manifold right now. Which is sad CP-E has a gold mine at their finger tips and they don't realize it. Hell if they just slapped a standard 2bolt flange on their downpipe they would have two communities to sell this setup to.

Looks like a pretty nice setup.

If I was starting from scratch, I would probably buy it...

But, if you bought the manifold 6 months ago, before there was even a DP that would work for it, and then they turned to you and said you couldn't have one that DOES fit, would you not be pissed?

Of course I would be...

I would expect it to eventually be available separately, but not initially due to all going to the full kits...nothing unusual about that marketing/manufacturing plan.

If they don't do that, then well...they kind of suck.

Default Introducing the cp-e MazdaSPEED3 Atmosphere Turbo Kit

So you’ve got the bolt-ons, you’ve got the tune, but it still just isn’t enough, right? Don’t let this keep
you up at night, because your desires can now be completely fulfilled. Here at cp-e™ we know that
you don’t want to go faster, but instead you need to go faster. That need is why countless hours in
R&D have been spent to develop the last turbo kit that you will ever need to look at for your
MazdaSPEED3.
Introducing the new MazdaSPEED3 Atmosphere™ Turbo Kit by cp-e™. This ultimate big turbo
upgrade for your MazdaSPEED3 application includes everything you need to take care of your need
for speed and take your car from a stock turbo to a new Tial Stainless Steel Big Turbo.

MSRP: $5999 GT/ $6350 GTX
PART NUMBER: MMSP3TUK
MazdaSPEED3 Atmosphere

Kit Includes:
• cp-e™ MZR DISI 2.3 =LRTmani™ Turbo Manifold
• cp-e™ MazdaSPEED3 DownScream Downpipe
• cp-e™ XcelXL Intake with Filter
• cp-e™ Nviscid Big Turbo - Turbo Inlet Pipe
• Tial MVR External Wastegate
• Wastegate coolant lines
• Oil circulation lines
• Necessary gaskets, screws, clamps, couplers, and fittings

Kit Options:
• Tial VBand Turbine Housing
• GTX 2867
• GT 2871
• GT 3071
• GTX 3071
• GT 3582
• GTX 3582
• Optional Wastegate colors

This kit comes with an exhaust manifold specifically designed with Tial flanges to fit Tial VBand Turbine Housings from GT28-GT35, and Tial MVR External Wastegates. The =LRTmani™ Turbo Manifold is a stainless steel exhaust manifold that comes in a cast 304 stainless steel, and is designed to allow for the most efficient exhaust flow possible.

A common setup for the turbo bypass is to use a screamer pipe, which dumps the exhaust to the atmosphere immediately after the exhaust manifold. This practice is lackadaisical at best, so cp-e™ has taken the extra time and effort to divert the exhaust correctly. The cp-e™ DownScream diverts gases straight into the exhaust pipes to be expelled out of the rear of the car. Having this setup keeps your high boost events quietly intense, rather than noisy and agonizing. cp-e™ has designed this downpipe to keep your system within a legitimate decibel range.

The shining piece to this kit is by far the cp-e™ MazdaSPEED3 DownScream. Made with 3” 304 stainless steel, this downpipe eliminates both stock catalytic converters to allow for smooth exhaust flow and transition. Not only is this downpipe designed to give a free flowing exhaust from your turbo, but it is also designed to attach to the Tial MVR External Wastegate. The wastegate actuates at high pressure and causes the system to divert the engine exhaust away from the turbo.

Also included is the cp-e™ XcelXL™ Intake and Nviscid™ Turbo Inlet Pipe that will give your engine the air it needs when it demands it so that your MazdaSPEED3 can reach higher horsepower ranges. No turbo kit would be complete without the proper coolant and oil lines. cp-e™ has done it right once again by also supplying you with steel braided –AN lines for your coolant and oil routing that will fit right in with your new setup. We’re even giving you a CNC lathed –AN adapter for the oil feeder hose to allow you to attach to your MazdaSPEED3 with no worries.

A/R's for the GT's:
2871- .86
3071- .63
3582- .82

Mod's if you could please merge this thread here it would be most appreciated.

Notes:

-Trick EWG plumb back that will keep the EWG noise down (if that is what you'd like and would be my preference)
-No creep issues on this set-up (see above)
-All feed and return lines included
-All gaskets included
-Everything you need to go BT EWG (without the EWG volume)
-$4500.00

IMO, a pretty nice turn key solution with lots of turbo choices.

(The DP availability may be due to the plumbing for the EWG... not 100% sure, but it may be a limiting factor).

So what's the word on MS6s.

MS3s get a downpipe for the cp-e manifold so I assume there is one in the works for MS6 as well?

If the CP-e kit is $4500, then I can see the value. Not for $6000 though.

if they remake it with a twinscroll tial when that comes out and consider putting a cat option for the down pipe, I think this would be a good option, and quite frankly something I would consider, yea the price is a little high, but it has literally everything but a tune.

My problem was never "I don't like the kit."
It was that the rumor was if you bought their manifold, back when they didn't have a dp solution until now, that you weren't going to be able to get the dp outside of this kit.
That rumor has since been falsified, and I no longer have a problem. Now go brown somewhere else.

That rumor has since been falsified, and I no longer have a problem. Now go brown somewhere else.

And a FMIC or upgraded TMIC, which would be required. And a HPFP. And an AP.

But yes, this is the most complete kit you can buy right now. Most everyone looking to go BT will already have a new intercooler, HPFP upgrade, and an AP.

The full race kit also has an fmic and a intake.
For two grand more.
As much as I knock it, that full race kit it baller.
They just need to hurry up and get some higher flowing turbos.

Seriously though, if you can't see why I, or the people who actually already own the manifold would be upset, then I can't help you.

CP-E... if you are checking in on this thread, this is a great opportunity for you to help us out with something.

We desperately need a separately purchasable v-band dp and one that is affordable would be a really good seller, imo.

I would get this if it was available for my 6.

Some advice to cp-e:
1. Include Catted option (people really need it to pass emissions)
2. Keep the price where it is... The "MSRP $5999/$6350" price is waaay too much cash. Then people will just fab their own EWG DP/wastepipe. Everybody's loss

+ How hard it is to simultaneously post the new kit here and on the cp-e website instead of folks discovering the new kit a few days before the official announcement here and the ensuing shit storm?
