Is CP-E making an upper trans mount?

After seeing Loosh's and Boost's mounts fail post recall are you guys working on one? I think it needs to be the rubber part and the cast aluminum under it that attaches to the trans.

Yea someone needs to build one asap/I just droped my motor again i got pic and a thread on here.I snapped the mount in half.

i had just put the trz mount on.like a week earlier.this is the trans mount under the battery box.I cant speek about how it happend until it get fixed pm me.This the 2 time its happend.

Yeah, they have been redesigning theirs. Becasue of issues, guessing breakage or premature wearage.

so CraigHjr........what will it take for Cp-E to make these mounts???? Myself, and many members have asked for these months and months ago...I imagine there is not a lot of profit in mounts per say, but i would assume that CP-E can engineer these and i do believe they would sell a shit load.....this is certainly a part that NEEDS improving ..i am not quite sure why they have not jumped on this. Maybe a list needs to be started in a a couple of the forums to get the interest up. Palerider is a CP-E rep now on both forums....maybe he can suggest to CP-E that we need this more than the license plate holder....not to bash the LPH a nice piece, but the mount is really really important IMO...just for our heads to not worry about the engine busting a stock mount and the resulting possible damage.....this may be the biggest flaw with this car to me, and a real safety concern!!

Well said someone make a stronger mount.The mazda rep is going to come 2morrow to look at the car.Hope they give it the ok on warranty work.

boosted3,,,i hope everything turned out well with your car man...did the mount bust?? If so, the main thing is that your OK and Mazda should warranty it 100% for sure.
On another note, unexpectantly i got a call today from Josh over at CP-E. He was calling to ask me if i still wanted the CP-E PnP since i had pre-ordered it back in Aug/07...seems like i was #1 on the list so he was just following up a year later...we had a good talk and i did tell him that any day i will decide on the PnP, but if i go this route i will buy the whole pkg from Palerider..Randy.I just pre- ordered the SRI and trans mount again from them so.. But at the end of our talk i did ask him about the HKS BOV that i am about to buy, as well as the MOUNT QUESTION.........i mentioned again that many many members would jump on this if they made the side mounts ( i want peace of mind that my trans and engine stay were they are supposed to when i drive hard)...and what do ya no...INDEED they are in the design stage as wee speak and will be coming out for sureSOON i hope. Once again, CP-E customer service(owner) is making house calls.....you do not get much better than that in my book....CP-E FTMFW

Ok,guys i got news from the dealership.I called them at 3pm they told me they were waiting for a email from the mazda rep.After i hung the phone up they called me back 5 min later saying."We just got off the phone with the mazda rep and we are going to warranty it the last time,this is a favor.But we are going to void ur powertrain warranty.And we are not covering the rent a car"..I said fine no problem.Dont u think that is kind of fishy that they just got off the phone wiht th rep after i call.The mazda rep was suppost to come loook at the car and that never happend.Mazda is hiding something about this pos trans mount.This is the 2 time this mount broke on me.

Yeah I will call Jordan tomorrow and see what the deal is...I have to ask him about some other stuff anyway. Like Laloosh said there was talk about these being needed but afaik no one ever made them (unless the streetunit ones are real).

did your transmission mount actually break? or is that part of the transmission housing? i cant tell from the pictures

its just a mount that bolted to the trans.and the mount snaped in 2 and droped and snaped my axel..............

Yeah dude I was at a show last night when you called. How many miles do you have and are you really losing the rest of your warranty? The mounts from CP-E are not neccessarly a "back burner project" but with all the stuff going on Jordan said that there just isn't the time in the day right now...So I will look into raw materials and a way to redesign this thing but don't expect anything quickly. I am sure this will wind up being just like the turbo inlet pipe that I built, as soon as I am ready to make a few for some people 2 others will come to market and make my work fruitless. (Or maybe I can design it and CP-E can evaluate and produce it???)

Man I just remember that crossover had both engine and tranny mount on there website for like forever. It said "coming soon", and now they're gone! They had pics of the mounts and they looked pretty well made. I guess we gona have to keep waiting.

lol i saw those same mounts and the are gone lol.Got the car back today the engine still feels like it moves alittle even wiht my dog bone in the back.Im gona have to look over these mounts wiht craighr.we will keep ya updated

UPDATE: PTP has a proto pictured on his forum here. We all know about the delays, but he is saying a 30 day time frame with a GB coming in about 2-3 weeks.

TRZ also has a partial mount in the PG section here, with no production times yet.

I would never steer business from CP-E as they are great guys and even better products. I was told over the phone the mount would not be avalible from them anytime soon so as a service to the community I think people should know whats comming about weather from our favorite company or not. Randy or Jordan if you feel its inapproprite for this info here feel free to remove it.

its not inapproprite at all we need a damn mount.escpecial sinc emy warreanty is voided.Eveyone stop making go fast parts and lesss keep this engine int he car lmao.
