According to these dyno numbers the nano seems have less gains than the Cobb, since the cobb was done on a mustang dyno. I already have the cobb intake and am happy with it. Im sure the Nano is a better quality piece but thats not enough reason for me to switch.

Right.. I can see that the oversized MAF housing would be very desirable for the big turbo guys (who need custom tuning anyway). But shouldn't the "normal" sized version of the Nano be exactly the same diameter as stock? I wouldn't want to have to get a custom tune just for an intake.

Would you switch if they said CP-E got 15 whp? Because that's 1 whp more than Cobb.

Point is, you're talking a few numbers. And too many variables come into play when it comes to matching dyno numbers. They'd both have to be run on the same car with fresh ECU's and plenty of air. And that's completely impossible.

Long story short, don't base your purchase off of the dynos all the time. If that were the case, why wouldn't we all just get AEM intakes? They claim 28whp.

I have a cobb sri, zero problems with it. I would not replace it with a cp-e one. Now, if I wanted an sri right now and didn't have one, cp-e hands down of course. It will be interesting to see if any of the ots cobb ap maps have any issues with the nano.

Which is why they are offering different sizes...

I don't understand why there is an argument about taking a cobb of and putting a CP-E on... They are basicly the same design w/ a different name on it.

I just want it b/c I have a stock airbox... and cobb's are months out of the reach of my $$

I fully understand that. My question was (and still is) regarding the "normal" size nano MAF housing. Is it the same diameter as stock?

It most certainly has to be.

It's a shame you aren't in TX. I'd be happy to offer my MS6 for testing, as I'm currently stock, like the MS3 you tested.
