Default CP-E Stage 2 motor mount still rubber?

https://www.cp-e.com/products/featur...e-engine-mount

Kinda cool, but why still using rubber instead of longer lasting urethane?

At least it looks shiny lol, I'd like to see what JBR thinks of this design...

lol someone try the stage 2 half of this with JBR RMM

Yeah I had to look at the JBR RMM installation guide to see what that new part is.

Better question is why is this $198. I can understand the cost of machining and aluminum, but damn, still seems a little steep

They include their RMM. The other part is that triangular mount that bolts to the transmission. Looks as though they upgraded the rubber within that piece as well. Interesting, would like to see a review, but that is probably not going to happen.

From the other pics it looks like there's only a duro rubber piece on that triangle part now, and the usual RMM inner rubber part is solid. Th description says something about reducing movement from L-R U-D to just up and down with the new design

Are you sure it includes the RMM? If it did, wouldn't there be a spot to select which duro you wanted for the RMM? Another thing, if in fact it was a package price for $198, wouldn't you think they would have it sold separately so people who just want that part can buy.

I like this MUCH better than the oem setup...

They need to make this for the MS6.

Think I get it.

So this has a solid piece of metal where the rubber is on the "Stage 1" mount, hence no choice on Duro there.

Then it also replaces the 3bolt piece the Stage 1 mounts to with a new CP-e bracket that has the rubber there - thus the rubber piece is no vertical, instead of horizontal.

If that's the case - this is baller. May have to swing by to look at one first hand - think I may be selling a RMM haha.

Ok so after reading your post and then looking at the picture a little harder I get it. I think you're right with there being no bushing on the RMM. Makes sense now.

Would like to see some pics of this installed and hear some reviews.

I saw this yesterday with only 2 pictures being visible. I believe, as seen in the pictures, that @bms3mtb is correct, in that the RMM is now solid and the rubber bushing has moved to the triangular piece that attaches to the transmission.

I also think cp-e needs to edit their description. They switched the terms horizontal and vertical...stating that their RMM has a horizontal bushing and the new piece has a vertical bushing. Now, I know I passed Geometry, so I hope someone else recognizes/ed this.

I like it but as long as you dont have to have their standard rmm section. That design is still fail no matter how you slice it.

The long bolt on my cpe rmm bent and made the mount almost impossible to install. A trz delrin would kick ass with this mount.

You hit the nail on the head.
I will post pictures of the install and a review shortly

I guess $198 really isn't a bad price for this setup. Definitely interested in seeing how this performs. Hopefully as well as it looks.
