Default CPe Exhaust Manifold cast mold differences?
Just came across noticing this the other day. Was wondering if anyone had any insight?

Why would the cast mold be changed? If I'm not mistaken it would cost a decent amount to make a new cast mold? I don't see why they would change it unless it had some type of issue on the first mold.



It's not really big issue to me but it would be nice to know. Just curious.

I can say that this thing was a breeze to install. I've heard real bad nightmare stories to get this thing in and I can say that we atleast dropped it right in with out loosening or removing anything. Maybe that is the reason for the different cast.

Looks like the top version's EWG flange was moved upwards a little bit? Maybe to allow the OEM WBO2 sensor to fit now?

Different make up of alumn and other metals at whichever foundry poured it. Unless CPE specifies what the metal makeup will be, these will vary based off what the casting foundry uses.

Well the top one is my car, installation was easy, but still need to re-located o2 sensor, no room for dump tune. Even I have cpe DP. It's sucks

We had to switch vendors due to quality of the product. The only changes that were made were for tooling purposes only. the overall locations of the runners and WG and everything have not been changed.

with a non cast manifold this is an easy fix they would just need to turn the EWG runner Up towards the hood of the car.
