i just wish you would admit that the install is going to take a bit longer than another brand..

dane... first and foremost i am a fellow car owner. i still have the highest number for a ms3 on stock internals. ive been around this market for years now and its a shame that some of you newer guys just think of me as a vendor. im doing this mostly for a tax writeoff and to screw around on the internet and have some fun.

my sales numbers are good because my service has been good up until now, and my prices are good, and im vocal. im not gonna sit around and let a thread like this IM MY FUCKING SECTION go unanswered. if the engineers at cpe want to weigh in they can. i dont have a fucking bat phone tho. so instead of knocking my answers as not being technical.... how about addressing the fact that ive installed 4 of these motherfuckers and the points raised in this thread were not issues for the dozen or so guys who I was with when we did it.

its a damn intercooler, with a ps heat exchanger upgrade, where one goddam coolant hose is also replaced. you all are making it sound like the motor has to come out. its a 2 hour install for an experienced installer.

If we were so biased we would have trashed the dp too, we didnt. there are no hush hushs here, he had a bad experience and his opinion and the opinion of those who witnessed it was that it was a poor design for installation. no one was racing the clock, phillyb was dragging his feet because it was a party of sorts not a NASCAR pit crew challenge. this has been done a dozen times over on cobb threads , in So Cal we are laid back and enjoy the get together ...not trying to one up the competitor...shit ..if we wanted to fuck up CPE install we woulda just put a plastic bag inside his intercooler and let him start it.

p.s. maybe u need cpe certification like being one of their vendors to understand their very detailed and exquisite instructions.

his dp was more than half installed by Rich (a guy who totalled his ms3 a few months back)
I taught him how to gap and chanage plugs the correct way.
I took apart his hks bpv and fixed a problem with the plunger (first time in my life I have used a 5.5 mm socket)
by the time the fmic had to go on say around noon and beyond (saved for last by phillyb s choice) there was plenty of guys there wrenching.....phillyb was dragging his feet..... when he got stuck help was there.....this was a BBQ not a "wipe my ass party please."
I woke up at 5am..opened "shop" at 6am ,spent over $300 on food and shit to ensure everyone was welcomed and finally kicked Phillyb the fuck out at 11pm...if u think sir thats not going beyond what you would do for someone that u met 2 months ago or a shitload of strangers that I never met..then u r a better human being than I. I need help at times myself......but when I want something done I DO IT. Breakdown61 was there too..he got the least amount of help but he got his shit done because he didnt lose sight of the ball...philly was 50% installing and 50% talking shit...so his work reflected it.

It was my day off and i told everyone on Friday, im not touching shit.. This was supposed to be a BBQ that turned into 4 cars in the driveway, when i pulled up. If it was next weekend, i would of touched "cpe shit", but not yesterday. I had a long training week.

he just filled it , after we "tried" to bleed it all over my driveway.....there was alot of air to begin with cuz inside the reservoir it would bubble up like a motherfucker. Whether or not filling it wihile teh car is on the ground might actually be what we missed. now phillyb just needs to be a man and romp on the gas already to feel the powwahhh!!!!!

i topped off the fluid, and pulled the steering wheel right and left. checked fluid and repeat.
eventually the wheel was easy to turn.
the pump is still making a little buzzing sound, so i think there's still a little bit of air in there. i'm going to check it out later today.

i've also been checking my coolant as well. i leaked it all yesterday and had to re-tighten the clamps, so i've been checking that shit too.
