Because my intake has a part (which failed) that is only made by them. My rear mount is off the car (replaced by Sure) and the intake will follow when the time comes to do the intercooler.

But anyway, if they go under they've just earned it. A company that think they can piss of customers as they want to, stay away from their clientelle, and don't go on forums (anymore) to answer ppl questions, concerns and build a robust relation ship with their customers, can't make it in this tough times.

I don't know who in CP-e had the silly idea, but it was definitely a bad move. Anyway soon or later they'll learn it the hard way.

Seriously , not sure how many of you had the pleasure of speaking to Josh but he is rather condescending and seems to spend too much time on the offensive. I dunno if that's just the result of getting anally pounded out by these forums as a company, too much growth without sufficient staffing, or just dickheadness.

Sander and Paula have been great to deal with on the other hand and have helped me numerous times.

lol, I wish I had the emails from him when Silverdemon and I figured out the issue with their down pipe causing all kinds of issues.

Basically he said he cant promise their catless Dp wont cause a CEL. I told him, "no shit ... but you can gaurente it wont cause one to make my car run rich as fuck and my trims to be all over the place. Im not talking about P0420 dumb ass ... just takes a little freshman level ENGINEERING" or something like that then told him if he needed a real engineer to understand it I could send him my resume lol. He couldnt understand the concept at all and didnt apreciate my comments. This was only a couple weeks after receiving a damaged fuel pump from them and withough Jake my car would have been down for a while.

just called there and the Lady was saying they didn't have power. Not sure if there was a huricane or they are just underwater such that they can't pay they bill anymore.

I'm coming back to my question, why are you so sure that they won't be around for long.

Now that my stuffs are they to get the shroud, I hope they won't go bankrupt before they sent it back to me tho.

As posted on their Facebook they were down a few days due to lack of power or not full power. A lot of people around here dealt with no power and water for many days so its a pretty low blow to be just saying shit like that.

The problem the OP had would have been easily solved if you contacted cp-e directly and asked for alternative shipping.
If you have a problem contact them. They will be more than willing to help. As with any company, posting on a message board isn;t the way to get anything done.

Not exactly. Corksport, and many others are here all the time. Cpe is the only vendor to completely pull out offorum posting. They do log in, read threads, but will not communicate.

If the fuckers around here hadn't run them away they probably would. I understand bad customer service, but what I don't like is getting people on the bandwagon who don't have a single CP-e part on their cars.

A lot of people jumped on the hate train because of a few bad stories. I don't blame CP-e for dropping off the forums here because any attempt at fixing issues only got them more shit thrown their way.

Personally, when I ordered my HPFP earlier this year, I talked to Paula, who was great, straight away told me they were not in stock but that they had a shipment coming in the following week and if I ordered that day I'd be included in that shipment... low and behold, the pump was sitting on my porch a week later. Fast shipping AND great customer service for me.

From a business standpoint... stand by your products, but at the same time when all the community has to say is negative things toward you, I would just cut my losses and jump ship too, atleast on the forum front, considering by the end of that fiasco no one had the right mind to apologize and let CP-e sort out their issues without jumping down their throats and throwing the hate around here. A lot of threads I had read included someone asking if the OP had even contacted CP-e, most of the time the answer was no.

No one else gets hate like CP-e, and it's just stupid the way people have treated them on this forum. Maybe if our members weren't so quick to judge they wouldn't have declined so much in customer service toward us.

And yes, some areas on the east coast are STILL with NO power. I also know that a few of CPE employees have been out of work the whole week because their houses are flooded.

I did call them, after I emailed them and couldn't get the name of the part I was looking for. I was directed to purchase said "spare parts" via the website. Upon said purchase, I said to myself "ouch, that blows" and immediately hit the buy button without hesitation.

Ultimately, I care not for $23; it was the fact that more than half the cost was for shipping something that weighs about the same as toenail clippers. I am in no way bent out of shape about it, I just think they could do better to provide more options.

If you have an issue that needs to be address with cp-e and are having problems contacting them directly PLEASE feel free to contact me and I will do my best to get it resolved for you. I've already helped about 20 or so people that have had issues and got them resolved quickly.

I've never had any problems with them or their products. My stuff always shipped fast and shipping rates were reasonable. I find it strange that people are ripping CP-E products off their cars and replacing with other brands.

Some have had rear mount bushing issues. When the transmission mount fiasco happened, it was the same time that CPe locked every single thread and posted they were too busy to post anymore. For a lot of people, forum posting is customer service, and they did not like it. The perception of CPe changed dramatically when they left. Social media and forum posting is simple marketing opportunities to help sell product and they really are losing out.

As for me, I am on here more than any forum. I see many suppliers posting here and facebook about what they are doing. The help I have gotten here from vendors will weigh heavily on future purchases.

Out of sight, out of mind.

When the mount issue started happening, everyone jumped on their shit without CP-E having time to address the issue. Lo and behold, CP-E covered everything (albeit, if I recall correctly, it was repaired under warranty). They also took necessary action and created the backing plate and informed everyone to use red loctite (ha, funny joke) on the Allen screws.

Like Mike said a few posts up, a lot of hate came from people who have had no experience with them, let alone 1 of their products. One person had a bad experience and that apple ruined the bunch. CP-E didn't have time to deal with all the assholes this forum has, and as we are all aware, this forum takes the cake with the amount of shit flying. I don't blame them for leaving, yet they are still a vendor...so obviously they still want to support the community.

I understand a lot of people liked CP-E when Jake was there and have felt they have gone downhill since, which comes back around to the points Mike alluded to.

Yes, their prices are high. However, I have also seen a few recent threads pertaining their quality and workmanship. Check out the Gen2 section, someone posted a thread regarding their FMIC and those who have it are showing nothing but praise. As always, the people who work there are only human, so sometimes products are overseen in QC checks. As stated, give them a call, shoot Paula (pibey@cp-e.com) an Email, hell, even Storm is offering his help, and they'll take care of you.

That's another thing, CP-e isn't Corksport or SURE/SU, they make products for cars OTHER than the MS platforms. Being that they're a pretty small operation all things considered, it's only fair to give them a little slack considering we're not the only car they do R&D for.

Don't even bring up Cobb either... they have a lot more people across SEVERAL locations that allow them to do work on several cars, not to mention even they dropped the MS3 back when the economy hit rock bottom because we just weren't the platform bringing in the money. Thank god they kept up with the AP, but the rest fell by the wayside, and not surprisingly either.
